Why is Supercell Support Banning Players Based On Photoshopped/Fabricated Evidence?
Dear Clash Community,
This is an utter outrage as my account has been suspended based on either an edited screenshot, or another player in Titan 2 changing his/her to rather fraudulently impersonating me.
As many of you know, I have been quite arguably been the largest advocate against the use of third party software and websites in the Clash community, not to mention perhaps one the strictest family leaders; Savage members are always banned and reported for admitting use of third party software, and warned for using profanities in Global chat.
As many of you know, a relatively well-known player who has been proven in writing (via an old screenshot) to use an unauthorised third party software was banned for 31 days approximately 2 weeks ago. This player had not only used the software, but had incited others on Kik/Line etc to do the same - all of these screenshots were sent to Supercell and he was rightly banned. More information on this ban is very eloquently eluded to in MarvinPDX's video. I did not make this a personal matter and pursue his use of unauthorised third party software until members of his clan (prior to his ban), were entering Savage clans for no other reason that to hurl vile abuse at clan and clan members. I was also of the opinion that anybody using third party software and claiming the 'TH5 record' should be punished accordingly.
Subsequent to his ban, I have been the victim of a sustained attack via Kik, including members of the aforementioned clan, writing that they 'hope I get cancer', which was probably one of the milder distasteful slurs directed at me - there are a considerable amount of children playing this game. Furthermore, I was also told that 'we will get you banned' and several other very immature threats.
I would like to categorically state that I have never used a profanity in Clash of Clans chat during the circa 20 months that I have been playing on my account. Secondly, I have never researched, downloaded or installed any third party software on either my iPhone 6 Plus or my iPad, both of which I use to trade on the financial and thus are completely secure. I have certainly not mentioned that I use unauthorised third party software in Clash of Clans chat following my near 7 month public crusade to ensure that players utilising third party software are punished accordingly.
I hope that you will then understand my surprise that my account has now too been banned for 31 days due to a photo of a 'harry' in Titan writing 'SC haven't found out yet that I'm using ***' apparently on Global chat. I can categorically state that I have certainly never written that grammatically sentence anywhere, let alone in Clash, following my seven month campaign the use of unauthorised third party software. Supercell Support has obviously been duped, either via the of an extremely professional 'photoshop' or another player changing his/her name to 'harry'. This is utterly unconscionable and reeks of malpractice, yet I have been banned. This photo was sent to Supercell Support a few days ago, and I have obviously recently received the ban.
To be very forthright, I had suspected (and I was told) that the other player's clan and family were attempting to ban me (I received a message from the same player who told me to 'get cancer' the day before ban, asking if I had been banned), yet how can a multibillion dollar corporation such as Supercell, and the millions of dollars that Clash generates everyday ban a player without a thorough investigation, at the very least check the transcripts of clan chat? It is simply unfathomable to suspend an account when it is quite obvious that the evidence has been edited, or a player has changed their name to incriminate another player.
Where does this matter end? It may seem rather far-fetched, but a terrorist organisation could very easily create a private clan and utilise it to plot attacks, if the transcripts of what was written in both Global and Clan chat are not retained by Supercell.
Supercell Support have continued to issue generic answers to my extremely detailed messages and have been extremely unhelpful as they have provided three different reasons for my ban (offensive behaviour, promotion of third party software and use of third party software), none of which are accurate as I have unequivocal evidence from within Supercell that my ban is based on a picture of 'harry' in Titan league writing 'SC haven't found out yet that I'm using ****' which is quite clearly not me - I have never used 'I'm' in over 20 months of playing Clash.
This is an utter outrage. I have spent thousand of hours making the Savage clans (Savage Seven/8.9 etc) into one of the most recognisable clans in Clash of Clans, not to mention the thousand of hours (and hundreds of pounds) on my TH9 in Titan 2.
I urge you all to contact Supercell about this matter; arguably anybody playing the game is vulnerable to the victim of an edited photo or impersonation based on malicious intent of another. My account has been suspended when it is quite clear that the evidence is false; surely Support could send the picture to a laboratory for further examination or for the chat transcripts to be checked in the two months since 'Titan' league was introduced.
Thank you very much for your support and I look forward to your replies, and I do hope that you will bring this matter up to Supercell.
I would also like to thank a member of the Clash community, who has a name beginning with 'D' for his unwavering support on this matter.
Yours gratefully,
Harry
