New Dark Troop! The Joker!

JOKER

Okay, basically i was wandering around in the clan wars and noticed that ranged troops cant get away with much. Example:

Archer wants to attack a structure that would be helpful in getting a star. But a wall is in the way so they target it. Then an archer tower is just close enough to damage this troop!

So i thought, why not have a troop that when it finds itself in a bad situation, it can make its weapon travel to places without the troop itself. but there is a boundary!

Appearance:

black hood robe. Purple gloves. Black sword. purple pants. Orange eyes. Black boots.

Core Ability:

If a wall is in the way of the JOKER, the joker will release its sword and make it destroy other structures in a 10.4 tile radius. (by that i mean the joker uses magic to make the sword float and hit other structures.)
When the JOKER, is finished destroying the wall the sword would come back to him.

(note: the sword when floating will have %50 of the original damage.)

Stats Level wise:

ahem joker does fit in with the theme.

Well, the point of melee and ranged is that you use them both. You can't have one troop with both. This could be op. It makes no use of walls. Basically. 10 tile radius? Pretty far. Does it go in a circle? How fast does it attack? Where is the Joker in all this? How is it funny? How does the name work with it? So many questions, so little time.

To OP for a troop. Would make a half-decent hero though.

1. How fast does it attack? :facepalm: It says S:2 which means Seconds:2

2. You can't have one troop with both. This could be op. no it would not be OP. big bombs if rightfully placed. (also normal defences.) can take out the JOKER quite easily.

the joker is the 1 spirit of the 2 that live inside its body. 1 takes control of the body. while the other takes care of the sword. Pretty dark if i say so myself.

4. 10 tile radius? Pretty far. not that far if you think bout it.

5. It makes no use of walls. No really if poeple space out their walls (which most poeple do) wouldent have a problem with the JOKER. Also traps would play a BIG roll.

This would have to get close to walls like the witch. 10 tiles is far. That is the equivalent of an Air Defense... A troop to have that range... Ok Clash is a medieval-ish game. When did spirits and spliting bodies and getting out get in this? If you say it is so dark, how about the kids that play the game. Some parents won't be happy. This is a troop that changes the game. Completely. Now anti-3 star bases can be beaten more easily. Also, so the attack would be what? It goes to a defense like a pekka? Then if there is a wall it will have the sword just fly around? Where is the logic in that?

Less OP, sure, still OP? Yes. It ignores walls basically. It can literally have the range of A FOURTH OF A TOWN HALL TEN IN ITS ATTACK. The Archer Queen only has a range of attack of 4. Just to put it in perspective. Thats 2 and 1/2 times that. Come on.

But that is covered by the fact that the JOKER attacks kinda slowly and is weak.

Really didn't respond to any of my other comments. Base design is hard as it is. There are so many different attack strategies and offense has always been one step ahead. This would put it ahead by 20.

Just to clarify, it is .5 seconds faster then the PEKKA. Way too OP even with the housing space.

Still haven't answered all the other comments in my posts. It is with this troop. If it was like the pekka (equivalent), MAYBE it isn't as OP.

To an extent, I'm sure the witch was a bit of a far-out concept, but this is plain bizarre.

Got to admit though, it's sure not one of the billion duplicate ideas.
No-one has ever thought of this before.

I may fear for the mind that thought of it, but it's originality cannot be denied.

I'm confused about the 8 on your stats list.... ♥♥♥ is that 8 for?! Lol lvl 2 has it but lvl 1 doesn't? What is it?? What does it represent??? I'm lost on that.

Damage wise the troop doesn't seem op.... 40 dps for 2 seconds equals out to be 80 damage per hit (100 damage per hit at Lvl 2)..... ok

What really doesn't make sense is what triggers the troop to switch between melee and range..... so it's always a melee troop unless it encounters a wall? And once he does encounter a wall he does less damage now? Hard to follow on that..... like how this has any strategic purpose....

In my mind the picture I'm seeing is this hooded clown guy with 2 swords, one he uses to ♥♥♥♥ at the wall while the other flies around in this huge frign circle.... hitting multiple targets I guess? At only 40 damage dealt every 2 seconds, even with him attacking the wall and other buildings simultaneously..... there's very little damage output and to take 24 housing thus is pointless/useless to any army composition....

The range you have him with for his flying sword is ridiculous too by the way..... 10? An archer has 3.... the queen only has 4 and thats HUGE

The range is the only op stat I see... everything else just makes no sense. What's the point of this troop or his ability? How does it fit in with any kind of strategy using other troops?? There needs to be compatibility and relevance.... this concept seems to lack both

To be honest, I don't think this troop is too OP for a single reason, you put a very small damage compared to the housing space, in your attempt to not make it OP. Well, you succeeded because in the current state, the troop would be useless. Who would take this troop with this housing space for this damage?

However, the radius of that special attack type.. is way too high. I went on the clash of clans builder and took a random war base from there, it might not be the best one, or even of any good, but it servers the purpose of proving a point. The radius is the same with one of an ADs, so take a look at this image and tell me if you don't find that OP. People would just need to take care of the Xbow and boom, free road to the TH for this troop.

There are a lot of bases which did not put their TH in the middle, mostly war bases, and those bases would have to suffer A LOT from this troop. Basically.. no bases with the TH slightly off the centre would survive this troop.

Also.. people are right when they say this troop doesn't match the theme of the game. I wouldn't see this troop well next to a barbarian or an archer, just listen to how it sounds: "I took couple of Pekkas, some archers and 2 jokers!".

Unfortunately, I don't see this idea going far..

The 8 is the level of the laboratory needed to upgrade.
