Option to not be attacked/defend. Basically an unlimited shield idea.

I cant level up anything because im always getting my resources taken by raiders. Its simply not fair and dont come at me with the "Thats how the game is" Thing. Its abuse and simply not fun. I wanna level up and finish the achievents in the game and have fun in wars. I barely raid because it makes me feel bad so why dont the DEVS make it an option in the game where you can either not get raided or attacked but also dissabling you from attacking other people? It would make the game more fun for the people who are in it for the idle factor of the game. Youre able to level up and gain resources and stuff. So please, DEVS Give it some thought.

This game is just trying to get money to themselves, they don't want to hear our opinions, if you know.

This game is all about raiding, whats the point leveling stuff if you're not gonna raid.

Try setting your TH out and moving up to masters. People will, generally speaking, take the snipes unless you are TH8 or lower.

No, shields have a cool down time of DAYS and its worth gems, You know how hard it is to get enough gems for atleast the one day shield? it take DAYS of farming bushes and trees and thats if one of those drop a gem or two. I have bad news for you. You can't become a high level player without raiding. Even though you don't upgrade walls or heroes it would just take soo long to upgrade your defences out of collectors even if you didn't get raided. So if you can't raid there is nothing we can do for you. But try putting your th out for free shields.

My TH is on the outside on a corner, but i keep getting everything destroyed by other people. I cant even level up the heroes or anything at this rate.

Clash of Clans is made around raiding and getting raided. I could list off hundreds of reasons why there shouldn't be an option to disable raiding :smirk:

On the other hand, I've heard theres a great game called HayDay by some company named Supercell that's supposed to be like a Clash of Clans copy but without raiding, you should check it out ;)

at this point it's literally either you raid other people or quit. collectors alone simply will not generate enough resources to let you upgrade stuff.

Sorry but supercell would never add this. Having fun in the game also mean raiding and being raided back. You sound more like a casual player so that's probaly why your having trouble getting upgrades done. A hardcore farmer or quite an active player should not have trouble like this. Also your aware that once you run out of goblin maps to raid you will only get like 100k or a 150k loot every day. At the most probaly about 200k from mines and pumps every day when you log on for the first time since sleeping. Progress would really slow down for players that chose to do that, espeacilly at town hall 8,9,10. Also your saying raiding makes you feel bad? Why? Raiding is a big part of the game. Unfortunately collectors don't give enough loot for you to progress. Not trying to be mean but if you feel bad raiding then this game really isn't for you.

I have been a th8 as well and I ve been raided for a lot of loot as well. You just simply have to understand that if you aren't raiding enough this upgrading process will be really really slow. Maybe you should have 2-3 hour sessions where you don't log off so you can keep some loot

We've all been hit hard developing as little TH1 villages to whatever TH level you are today. Some good days, some bad days. Your experience is not unique but millions of players world wide have been able to overcome those growing pains.

I raid sometimes because the game forces me to. But it would be progressive if those raids actualy helped me. Ussually all i get from raids never goes higher that 300k on gold or elixir. But having the option to stay without getting attacked would actually help me level up better without the fear of getting my resources taken. Like i barely even leveled anything up with the 7 day boosts they gave is for the anniversary...

My goal is not being offensive by saying this but...: PixelSparks, I suggest to you that you stop play Clash of Clans. Your personality and active playing time does not fit with the pace of the game, and Supercell will do nothing to help in that regard. 99.9% of other players are able to actively gain loot (by raiding other players) and retain that loot (by building up strong defenses for their TH levels). I hope you have enjoyed your time played CoC, but it is time to move on.

If you want some tips on a good base layout or how to raid resources from other players more efficiently, let us know. But unfortunately, counting on collectors as primary income just won't cut it.

If you ever buy gems again (or use gems you've earned), do not under any circumstances spend them on shields or resources or even boosting collectors... If you spend 40 of them on boosting your barracks and raiding with barbarians and archers for 2 hours once every day or two or three, you will get WAAAAY more loot! And then you can upgrade buildings more, and defend that loot.

I've found putting my town hall out, then just sitting under shields and collecting loot for a while works. It's slow, but you'll get the upgrade you want done eventually.

You seem to be getting quite worked up, it is my personal suggestion to tone it down a notch ;) If you can't progress because of raiders, that means your income in-game is not high enough. Try upgrading your collectors and also raiding other players. If you are able to spend a solid 30 minutes to an hour on the game at one time right after your shield expires, you can easily raid more from other players than other players can raid from you. This isnt a game you can casually play at higher levels, you need to be able to dedicate an hour or two at a time for playing if you're wanting to progress.

I do war, I raid sometimes but not everytime. I never indicated or said that i didnt want to war, just an option for players who wwant to stay out of raids for sometime without having to use so many gems or paying real money. Cuz The fact of having peopple hammering me while im at work and taking my stuff is slowing me down to the point where i cant even level up the extractors or the walls.

I too truly believe there should be a way to remove yourself from the PvP nature of the game (I don't recommend this game to anyone in no small part because of the way they designed it with no way to avoid conflict with other players). I would give people the option to turn on a permanent shield, but require them to log in every so often (perhaps whenever your fastest filling collector is full) so that inactive bases will be returned to the attack queue (and anyone that is allowing their collectors to completely fill up without collecting the contents is wasting resources that could be used by others). I would also require that turning on the permanent shield would require you to not have attacked anyone for some period of time (perhaps 3 days).

Sadly, this is never going to happen. There appears to be no desire to allow people to play the game without negatively affecting others. The best advice I can give is to quit if you are not already too addicted (there must be some other phones games out there with more pleasant designs) and never recommend the game to anyone.

I dont want to quit the game because i like it. But getting raided everyday by stronger THs is taking away the fun and raiding lower bases is useless because i dont get enough resources. because of that ive barely played the game in the past few weeks because to me its loosing the fun. I used to love it when i was a smaller TH but now, its just a pain.

Your troops are under leveled. You look like a new th8 so I won't judge you with your d3fence levels. Your cc isn't in the middle and most of your storages are in the same place. Find a good farming layout and you will be fine.

Unlike most, if not all, of the other posters I am truly on your side on this issue. I think it is ridiculous that there is no way for collector farmers to protect their bases from attack. Even if you did pay a crazy amount for gems you still can't hide under a shield all day because of the long shield cool downs.

There are many multiplayer games out there and quite a few of them have a PvP aspect to them. Most of them have an option to play the entire game without participating in PvP (they either have PvE servers or a way to turn PvP off), but even the most hardcore of PvP games have areas of the game where you can hide out if you don't want to be killed. There is no safe place in Clash of Clans. No matter how active a player you are, there is nothing you can do to prevent from being raided. Frankly, I consider that terrible game design as it does cause a lot of people with your type of personality to quit the game (though you seem to have more determination than others which is a good thing).

If they added a feature that allowed people to not be raided if they didn't raid themselves, it would only serve to attract and retain more players. People that like raiding (i.e. the current fans of CoC) would never turn the feature on because they wouldn't want to give up raiding other people. It would primarily serve to increase the number of people that play CoC so they don't leave at TH7 (or sometimes even earlier) because they can't progress due to being raided.

I know a lot of players want people to quit so there are more inactive bases to raid, but when people quit before reaching TH9 it does little to help the player base for the long term. The players are best benefited by having everyone reach TH10 and max their collectors and drills before leaving the game. There is a reason my design for allowing a permanent shield requires people to never allow their collectors to be full. It encourages people that want to hide behind a shield to make sure that they fully max all mines, collectors, and drills first thing. Then when they finally do the leave the game they will be offering huge collectors full of loot. Currently we have countless abandoned bases that offer very poor loot because the collectors are all level 7 or below.

I don't recommend leaving the game because I dislike you or your play style. I recommend leaving the game because this game will always disappoint you. I have been suggesting a way to have a permanent shield for over a year (along with adding DE to the goblin maps and making them repeatable for loot so you can play a non-PvP version of CoC). Sadly, I truly believe this is never going to happen. I deeply regret ever having started playing CoC (I gave up video games because they were taking up too much of my time and mistakenly thought a phone game would be less addictive and time consuming) and would never recommend CoC to anyone (people occasionally ask me about it and I always make sure to point out what a poor quality and time consuming game it is to discourage them). If I can one day break my CoC addiction I will happily leave the game never to return. There are no plans to make the game more user friendly by allowing you not be raided. Currently, your base is always vulnerable and you have to raid others to progress.

If you really don't like stealing from others (and I am with you on that issue) the best advice I can give is to go to higher leagues (I hung out in Crystal 3 as a TH8) and simply snipe and barch outer buildings for 50%. It is possible to raid a base while taking very little actual loot from the player. At TH9 I went up to Champs 3 because the 180k league bonus allowed me to make excellent loot without needed to steal much from the actual player. It's still a terrible game and the unfriendly community is a good reflection of the type of selfish people that such an aggressive game attracts, but league bonus farming is a way to minimize your negative impact if you really want to stick around.

Haven't seen your base but it sounds like you're new/rushed TH. Basically every time you upgrade your TH you have to do a burst of activity for a few weeks to get a firm footing. A good layout is very important as well, spread your storages out and try to only save one resource at a time. You shouldn't have much trouble, th8 defenses are cheap enough that you can farm them in one session. If you're really stuck then... quit. If you can't do th8 then th9/10 will kill you :)

I deeply regret ever having started playing CoC (I gave up video games because they were taking up too much of my time and mistakenly thought a phone game would be less addictive and time consuming) and would never recommend CoC to anyone (people occasionally ask me about it and I always make sure to point out what a poor quality and time consuming game it is to discourage them). If I can one day break my CoC addiction I will happily leave the game never to return. There are no plans to make the game more user friendly by allowing you not be raided. Currently, your base is always vulnerable and you have to raid others to progress.

If you really don't like stealing from others (and I am with you on that issue) the best advice I can give is to go to higher leagues (I hung out in Crystal 3 as a TH8) and simply snipe and barch outer buildings for 50%. It is possible to raid a base while taking very little actual loot from the player. At TH9 I went up to Champs 3 because the 180k league bonus allowed me to make excellent loot without needed to steal much from the actual player. It's still a terrible game and the unfriendly community is a good reflection of the type of selfish people that such an aggressive game attracts, but league bonus farming is a way to minimize your negative impact if you really want to stick around.

NO need for a wall of text. I checked his base. He is a very new th8 with a really really bad design. It's normal he will be fine. Best thing he can do is to raid more and get a good design.

With experience you'll learn how to make a better base design and manage your shields efficiently. You could also try joining a really good clan that gems and get good cc troops for when you log off. It's confusing when you say that you like the game, but being raided makes you mad. If you don't have success with advice from me and others you could try playing Hay Day.

After reading some more of this thread, I feel the need to clarify my response.

If it seemed like I was, I am not trying to be demeaning or dismissive. Just found the analogy fitting. A good farming layout, friendly snipers in gold/crystal, and a clan that has each other's backs so we always have cc troops when going offline, are my saving grace most times.

I personally just can't imagine playing without raiding/being raided....I would wonder what the point of upgrading was, then....?

1. have you tried placing your townhall in the corner of your village on its own, WITHOUT any defenses nearby? in many cases this can grant you a 16 hour shield and the only thing you will "lose" is trophies but if you want to upgrade your defenses/walls etc. then you are probably farming/grinding for resources, therefore trophies should not be an issue for you at this time!

2. depending on your lvl and activity you can try the following: i myself do not play as much as i used to and what i normally do is i sit around 3300-3500 and i attack 3,4 times per day using heavy armies such as (gowiwi,gowipe.houndloons etc.) i do that cause even though i attack only 3,4 times per day, with the league bonus i receive and the loot from the attacks (and in that range you normally loot 100-300K per attack) i am still able to save 3 mil per 1,2 days and i use that to upgrade walls ! i also have my townhall in the corner even in that range!

Just had a look at your base. Too compact. It's a raiders dream raid unfortunately. You might want to spread it out more with traps bombs n teslers on the inside rather than the outside. It's more affective. And maybe some funnelling too.. Going down in trophies can help too

He is TH8. Destroying elixir is part of the job. One of the reasons TH8's get fully raided so much is they often are offering max elixir because they have no way of getting rid of it fast enough.

If the game was changed so you had to push and maintain a trophy count of > 3200 to make any progress in the game I'd just quit playing, and so would pretty much every player who isn't at least a high level th9. I play the game for fun, make a few raids a day and do the upgrades I need when I have the loot. I don't want to invest hours of my time pushing for champions, and I have other things to do with my life than stay on Clash for hours a day so I don't get raided and lose the trophies that have become my only way to get loot.

This would also kill the game for any new and upcoming players, because they need loot to upgrade what they need to do the trophy push to champions at a rediculously low th level like ypu want them to, and if you want to take all of the loot from PvP attacks they have to sit there collecting loot from level 5 collectors so they can play a game they don't even know if they'll enjoy. Do you really think people would be willing to do that?

Your "make everyone push to champions" idea isn't a solution to the problem you're trying to make. It's just a way to bring an even faster end to CoC than before. Once again, please think about the consequences of your demands before demanding a complete change to a game that is in no way broken.

I'm not making everyone pushing, I am pointing out how much loot is lost because people choose to stay in low leagues. If everyone pushed up one league then you would find the exact same bases you do now, but with a higher league bonus. Higher leagues are only more difficult because so many players choose to avoid them. If people with easier to attack bases moved up, you would find easier to attack bases in the higher leagues.

Where are all of the 600+ trophies every player would need to move up a league going to come from?

If you max your collectors and don't break your shield too often, your collectors alone should cover most losses. Put your th outside and sometimes you won't lose any loot. Use efficient armies (barch, bam, gibarch) to make the quickest profit.
Doing this you should always be making loot even with only 2 raids per day (when shield is about to run out).

Also if you're going to use a word that is big for you, look it up. It's "demotivating".

This is not the game for you. Why not play hayday or farmville, or some other resource collecting/building game that doesn't include raiding? If you don't want max elixir all the time, repeatedly start and cancel an upgrade of an elixir building, like your last gold mine or storage. Or train barracks of wb when you have a shield and destroy the army as often as you can log in. Problem solved

This game really doesn't sound for you. I can understand getting mad when you're raided but that's the point of the game. Have you noticed every single recent commercial showing some village getting attacked? And if you could make it an option to not get attacked the number 1 player would be chilling in legends right now (they already can't buy a week shield)The way you make it sound, you just do nothing on this game until clan war starts. That won't get you farther than max th7. Learn a simple strategy like barch or loonion for raiding and you'll enjoy seeing your troops stealing someone's loot :D

I mean this respectfully pixel. There is no concept of fair in coc. You may not like it or acknowledge it (your choice) but it is "how the game is". It is survival of the fittest ... sometimes you are the hunter, sometimes the hunted.

Two tidbits of advice: 1) US Marine motto: adapt, improvise, and overcome, and 2) it's a game. If you are not having fun, find a new game.

You're right! Some players enjoy clash just for wars and can't be bothered to raid normally in multiplayer. Some players can't play 24/7. Some players log on, collect, log off and so on and so on...

Again, I can't stress it enough. We should have some kind of BANK where some resources are stored and no one else can raid/loot from. Perhaps 5% of total loot gained from wars or multiplayer? And possibly cap it at 2,000,000 of both and 10,000 DE? but still treat the BANK as a normal building to which attackers can destroy.

Or

5% of the loot gained from wars and multiplayer goes into the goblin map for 'safe keeping' and if needed, the player will need to attack to get them back.

Your frustrations are what drive the "pay to win" (more akin to "pay to feel better") mechanisms of the game and keep the owners of this company flush with cash generating billions in revenue and hundreds of millions in profits.

While the OP doesn't seem really suited to CoC's play style, this is actually kind of a neat idea.

Just guessing (pardon me if I'm wrong) but OP, when you raid, do you tend to raid once, then log off again till troops are made?

Some people play this way (big build army looking for one big raid) but it can make accumulating resources and trophies very slow going.

The attraction of fast build armies is not just that they are cheap but that they allow raiding several times a session without logging off and without long gaps between raids.

The first raid recovers resources/trophies lost since the last session. Subsequent raids are profit.

To move forward, you need to take several steps forward each session on the assumption there may be a step backwards between sessions.

To me: I find its challenging fun. Yeah,i feel you bro not only me all of us do feel you. The feeling of aw..moment when you get raided. If you get raided , then you nid to raid others player irregardless of how many gold and elixir he had. Forget targeting 100k plus. Just do a random raid on any full elixir and gold in collectors. When you strong enugh, attack the "core ", that's storages.

Early th8 is rough, I suggest dropping trophies down into silver with your th out, good luck

Drop down to a very low league, and put your town hall in the outside.
