Do I need to max my troops???

I'm mattromney113 and I was wondering if I should max my troops like Valkyries I've never used them and I don't think ever will so what's the point of maxing them

They're good to put in lower level clan castles for war, you may not use them but your clanmates might (considering you have low levels in your clan) besides you never know, one day a good strat might come along for valks, some people do still use them. Goblins on the other hand aren't really needed in my opinion.

I'd heavily advise maxing every troop. It's good to be prepared for any army composition, you never know when there will be a new effective strategy where the troop you neglect will be very important.

Also, valks are great for donating in war clan castles, so that's a plus. The higher level they are, the better they are for clan castles.

Yes, but just put them on the end of the upgrade list.

Goblins are wonderful, they are great for farming, esp for DE. I upgraded mine pretty early, the payout is worth it. Goblins are useless for war, depends on how you play.

If you have everything else maxed and you still are working on other things, then max it but if it's the only thing you have left until you max your current townhall, don't let that be the burden and just skip it

Personally, I never use valkyries so I never upgraded them

Valks are unreal once you figure out how to use them.....I know it is easy to neglect them, but man are they awesome when you figure them out.

I love the argument that people shouldn't max valks because they don't use them because they can't use level 1 valks.. entirely circular argument.

As for people saying don't upgrade dark spells, upgrading poison spell buys time. Ever run out of time at the end of an attack and wish you had three seconds? Not waiting as long for the poison spell can make the difference

You don't 'need' to do anything. Just upgrade what you want to upgrade. For me, I max everything before moving on as I never know what is going to happen tomorrow.
