Hello
I just recently upgraded to Town Hall 8 a couple hours ago (from max TH7, including walls, collectors, dark troops)
Now, I have a question
What is better to upgrade first(my cc(3000), drill(540), and storage(20000) are full by the time i reached th8)?
lvl 6 barb king?
or
lvl 3 hog rider?
do you normally use hogs? or your strat in war is using hogs always? I suggest
don't up first your bk. Just upgrade your AD first max it, because your opponent
in war they always use dragonloons. or up first your dragon because your mirror
has only lvl 5 ad for sure. and if you're really using hogs. then up your hogs.
As I have said countless times, upgrading your hogs is a great thing to do at town hall 8 because once you get them to level 4 you can 3 star pretty much any town hall 8. Upgrading your king is very important, but I would upgrade your hogs first.
Hog upgrade > level 6 bk upgrade.
Please do not upgrade Hogs before BK. The King is strong for offense AND defense. Always upgrade Heroes before anything else. The order for Elixir should be: Laboratory, Spell Factory, Clan Castle, DE Drill, Storage, Elixir Drill. I also recommend you upgrade Loons before Hogs if they are not max for your TH. Practice your use of Hogs in general matchmaking before using them in war. Push to Crystal to get a good feel for their AI movement. General rule is to use hogs on bases with compact compartments to avoid Giant Bombs. Also, don't use rage spells on Hogs, but rather heal spells, as they are more efficient.
Both are equally important, it's where your priorities lie which makes the difference between the two. If you are war-centric you will want to get your hogs to lvl4 ASAP- they are your greatest asset in 3 starring during TH8s as dragons become less reliable. If you want to focus on farming you will want your King to be capped, though he doesn't benefit typical farming raids too much.
If you do upgrade bk to 6 keep going to 10 thats all ill say.

I agree upgrade hero 6-10 then hogs!
I vote hogs to 4. Most powerful th8 strat by far, and a level 6 king is plenty powerful for it.Quote:

No one here can tell you, with a straight face, that you're more likely to three star someone in war with level 2 hogs and a level 10 king than with level 4 hogs and a level 5 king. If your more on the farming side do the bk first, if your into war max up your hogs for your th lvl and once you do use em ryt away they are too o.p if used correctly.
There comes a time when a base can't be GoWiPed, Draglooned. Thats when you use hogs. Get themto level 4, they wreck TH8s.
