The latest update has made lightning spells absolutely useless. Poison spell is way better for CC units and they don't hurt storages. What possible use is there for them now? You should add zapping back in. It was a part of the game and kept high level the from picking on the low ones. Or if you don't do that replace them with a different spell, because right now they are just useless.

They still have many uses and they never stopped me from picking on any base. If I was getting to the core I'm taking it all, not just 1k. So yeah even if they did catch me off a shield which is unlikely they wouldn't get what I took. They still have uses. Really good spell for TH7's and below, still a viable spell to take for extra percentage when barching in champs for 50% also.
Zapping was a fluke that had no strategy. I still see lightning being used in war to take out an air d so it's still part of the game . You just gotta adjust to the new updates . They did a great job changing it and adding poison to the mix.
They are great for taking out AD's at TH7-8. Zapping was a cheap tactic so I hope it never returns.
I see them used often on AD for drag attacks or on mortors for barch attacks. One of my clanmates goarches in titan 3 with a ton of success. 4 lightning 1 jump.
