99% of the time, surrounding their TH. Especially if the base is a farming base.
Due to the fact GoWiPe is such a popular attack strategy, teslas are usually placed towards the centre of the base so P.E.K.K.As get destroyed easily by them as they do 2x damage. :thumbsup:

If you mean in war, then people usually place their teslas opposite of where they expect their attackers to attack. So yes, people basically do put their teslas around their town hall. Just on the side where they expect the attacker to not to start from. Though, some people use teslas outside of their base in clan wars, also placing them on the opposite side of the base where they expect the attacker not to attack. So if a person using GoWiPe goes from the side opposite of the outside teslas, and exits out the base, the teslas would be there to tear apart the already damaged troops.
Farming wise, people usually place their within the base, nice and spread out. If people put teslas near their town hall in a farming base, then it's particularly a troll base.
