93 lavas into the grind. It's slow, but im progessing.
Your lab is going to take you a lot longer the max than your buildings. I have heard you could have 3 builders and still be done before your lab is. I'd go for all skulls before anything else. Due to the fact, once they are all skull you can use elixer for legos. That is what I did. I also had about 190 Skulls when I went to TH9. It didn't take me long at all to get all skulls, but I did focus on that instead of maxing my defense, and I always leave a builder free for walls.
If you want to have max defense but still lvl 7 walls that is okay. It is your village. I have seen a lot of that in war and farming.

The only legit way to upgrade walls is doing it with your excess loot
So if you only can farm 6m gold for lvl7 wiz tower you do 0 walls.
If you can farm 8m gold + 8m elixir you can do one wiz tower + 2 lava + 4 lego!
It's that easy!
Also my advise: always lift the bigggest stone = always do highest Lvl wall.
Eg: if you have 8m elixir do 2 lego and 2 lava
I left 1 builder for walls. 100 lava walls to go!

You are new to TH9 so there is no reason to focus on walls yet. I too never leave a builder free for walls (that is just a waste) and I would also always prioritize real upgrades over wall upgrades, but TH9 is the time to get all your walls done. Focus on acquiring DE so you can get your heroes to 30 as quickly as possible and do walls with whatever extra loot you have. Eventually you will find yourself with all upgrades done and nothing but walls left to do (and possibly heroes if you neglected to upgrade them during the first 6 months of TH9). There will be plenty of time at the end to finish up walls and lab work. TH9 is worth completely maxing.
