Im thinking of going to th9 soon and my mission is to keep my AQ always asleep untill lvl20-25. Which league/troop combo will work?
Many have told me Gibarch and crystal+ is it correct or?

Masters is the place to be for DE. But be prepared to lose a fair bit too.
Farm in G1/C2 with BAM. Boost if you are finding good offers but not all barracks. Just 1 or 2 and you can get up to 100k (did it many times)
Currently gibarching in the border between Master 1 and 2, with a strong focus on DE.
TH9, buildings maxed, (missing Dragon4, Poison3, EQ3), BK going to 18, AQ15.
Aiming for 5K DE a day, averaging 7K on 6-8 attacks (mostly wins) .. this will bring in enough DE to keep one hero upgrading constantly. (multiply by boostfactor if you would want to boost, I don't, but have the game running 4-6 hours every evening, I always have to break shield on my first attack)
In Masters, there are a lot of TH10s offering A LOT of resources, I prey on less developed bases.
My TH is exposed and my base is sniped within a minute of going offline (I have only snipes in my defense log)

Fastest? Easy. Buy gems, use gems to get that dark elixir. Hey, you said fastest.
Try one barrack giants one barrack wall breakers one barrack archers and one barrack goblins also one or two heal spells can be used plus a poison always just in case.
Gibarching easy bases is the most effective ways to farm DE. Good luck anyway~
