(I've searched around for a thread like this but I didn't find anything.)
Okay so Tom costs 15 diamonds for one day - is that really worth it? At the moment I have 16 diamonds so if I hired him for one day I'd only have one left. I've never bought diamonds before, and I probably never will. So, considering my circumstances, what do you say? I've heard he doesn't find barn and silo expansion items or land expansion items. Is that true?
save your diamonds. if you don't plan on buying more then it will take a very long time to earn that back again. use your diamonds to open up more production slots in your machines. I feel like that's the only thing worth spending diamonds on if you dont plan on buying them. Also, Tom will not look for any expansion materials for silo, barn, or land. plus one day is actually equal to 12 hours because he rests for 2 hours after each use. i would use them to expand a machine like the sugar mill or the dairy.Quote:

If you are not buying diamonds, then I agree - spend them on slots for your sugar and dairy machines.
I made a "lifestyle" choice and purchased diamonds, and one of the reasons is so I could get Tom. The more times I get him, the longer I seem to be able to get him for, for less diamonds per day. He's invaluable for me with boat orders - I have him out running for boat stuff every 2 hours (when I'm awake) and if I don't need him for them, I send him for saws and axes. I get 2 boats off every day.
There's a few threads on this, I think that most of them come down to personal opinion, he's good to make fast coins at a costly price of diamonds. I'm the same as above poster tho upgrade your buildings with more slots first, especially the ones that produce in the least amount of time, ie dairy, sugar maker, cake/pie maker because I like to go to bed at night and wake up next day to more than two 20min items ;) but it does depend on what you want Tom for I guess

Items such as jewellery, metal bars, axe, saw or items which takes a long hours to produce are worth asking for his help. But provided you have enough spare space in your barn when you hire him. Otherwise, it will be such a waste of diamonds. If it's not something very urgent, then you may consider saving your diamonds and use it for production slot instead. :)
You're most welcome. I have 5 slots in dairy and 5 in sugar. My next slot costs 15 diamonds each for both machines. I'm level 34. I'm not sure what the max is if there is one.Quote:

At your level and with only 3 slots in both I would definately spend the diamonds on extra slots for the sugar mill and dairy plant and the animal feeds. You will need it at higher levels because a lot of products need sugar and dairy like ice creams, cakes, coffees... I currently have 5 dairy slots and 7 sugar slots and 5 animal feed slots at level 44. I didn't buy the 3rd pig and sheep pen yet because I can't keep up with the feeds as it is.Quote:

dude are you serious? Buying axes and that? gosh those stuff are double digits, why would u pay tom to get those. You can get the higher valued items and people are crazy for them. especially the necklace and rings, tho you have to reach a certain lvl to see them, around 40. that one ring is like 700+ in gold
