Just finished mine. Took just under a month. You need to make a army comp that can get into storages as there are not many dead base's to be had. Healer/giant was my combo. Hit TH7 with an exposed A/D deploy giants with wallbreakers opening a hole for them. Destroy AD and deploy your healers. What i like about this strat its fairly cheap and can be made in 30 minutes. A lot of the times i dont use any spells and can 3 star most TH7's. Good luck its a grind 112 million. League i farmed gold 1-3. Silver i found sucked everyone and there brother is farming there.
15 giants
2 healers
4 wallbreakers
archers/barbs or you can use minions
Barch + 8wallbreakers or if you have surplus de, add some hogs at gold ii-i.
Also since at maxed D th8 with tons of surplus elixir and de, I used various expensive troops like Gowiva or gowipe. Might as well have fun while farming.
Silver 2 + Night time in central Europe + barch + collector raids
Really in that time frame I dont have to skip a lot to find 400k combined in collector/mines
Although now I had a stop from doing walls (reasons), I got 55 level 8s in the first 2 weeks of TH8 just from excess gold before upgrading a defense building or other stuff.
And my barch has only level 5 barbs (archers still at 4)
BAM in the Gold League
Use clashofclansforecaster.com , it helps you to know when loot is high!
Not to show off but just to show you how easy lvl 8 walls is.
Even I didn't realize this when I was stuck with them:
I upgraded all my walls to from lvl 9 to 10 in 56 days
this means 4.464 walls a day. 13.39 million resources per day (6.7 million gold and 6.7 million elixir)
and as a TH8, you can only use Gold to upgrade walls
so, by farming 6.7 million gold everyday, you will finish your 225 walls in 16.7 days.

(EDIT: when you start having full elixir storages, you can train heavy armies before logging off.
But, make sure if you for example spend 200K elixir on the army, get 200K gold atleast)
I've just been BARCH'ing in Gold 2/1. I have about 40 some skulls left.
I am up in crystal 2... I'm getting 1-2 per day but because I am very busy. I work 7 days a week and have a new born baby. Kinda rough to be clashing when the baby needs attention. The loot bonus is ok up here 50k each and 200 de. Helps get me over that hump. Usually get a wall in 2 raids. With my alternate account tho.. That's in gold 2 right now and he is a new th8.. hes getting gold well.. I am thinking about dropping down there. Good luck to ya! Takes a while. I have about 40 skulls. 185 to go!:p
EDIT: sorry forgot to mention.. All defenses are max. Elixir is full.. Valk lvl 2 is finishing in 6 hours. Just making different armies and trying them out. I usually use: 20 giants, 2wbs, 10 wiz, 28 barbs, 28 arch and 3 heal.

Dragons take too long to train and your profit per hour would be awful. If you boost, you could maybe do 2-3 attacks in an hour and yield 900k per hour meanwhile I can boost with BAM and get 4 million gold per hour.Quote:

Just started wall grind saturday night, 19 skulls since then! 3 - 4 hrs per night 1 barracks and BK boosted, that's why it's called grinding!
Not a lot of collector raids, they are there. Chose target wisely, Crystal league bonus helps.

I find this method cost effective, specially for collector raids. I also add 8 to 10 hogriders to my barch army to take out those pesky mortars, wiz towers and/or teslas threatening my barchers. Rage and Heal spells may also come in handy.Quote:

I would suggest to do 8 to 12 walls a day after put sonethibg on upgrade. Also keeping a builder free at all times keeps you playing the game.
For those who can't play often and who are max on elix dragons are just about perfect. I'm slowly doing my skulls on my second account. I maybe have 5 minutes 3-4 times a day to do a raid. Totally agree for anyone active BAM is the way to go.Quote:

Barch in gold. I've done about 120 walls in 6 days on my mini :)
I don't ... my TH8 is my second account, so I just collect from my gold mines and wars. It will be done slowly, but it will be done. Same goes for my few remaining DE upgrades.
For my mini I did :
Army: Barch
Range : around 1350
Technique: I basically only ever raided stacked collectors and premmies since there is so many at around 1350 , done all lv8's in about one and a half weeks
Silver is full of farmers & you will never get sniped (always fully attacked).
Try to stay around 1650.
I did that & completed all skull walls in 3 days
