Trading coins for expansion materials
MODS, THIS IS NOT SEEKING A TRADE BUT IS ASKING FOR PEOPLE'S OPINIONS ABOUT THE RELATIVE VALUE OF ITEMS SO PLEASE DON'T CLOSE IT DOWN BEFORE I GET SOME ANSWERS!! THANKS
I had a conversation with a fellow farmer yesterday and, to my embarrassment, discovered that there is a maximum size of Barn/Silo - 10K for those equally ignorant.
I have been looking for a different way to play and a new challenge for a while and, from other threads, it occurred to me that there are a lot of people out there who are short of coins, and looking in the RSS, a lot of people who just sell their excess expansion materials for max price. I was wanting some opinion from those people who are short of coins, or those who still recall that pain as to what price they would put on a BEM or SEM. I don't see many trades in the trading thread stating a price. I did do a little trading of this sort before, involving passing of diamond rings between the 2 parties before transferring the real goods but I can't find the KIK conversation now.
It has bothered me for a while that at this level, we just accumulate coins with no use for them so I thought maybe I might be able to find a way of using them, change the way I play to maximise coin return and step off the 'farm level rat-race' and work purely on barn/silo.
any views or suggestions appreciated, though I am sure many of the high level farmers will say you can't put a coin value on BEM, it's the guys struggling for coins that I want to particularly hear from. Thanks for reading.
Maybe this is what you were asking?
In the old days, story coming before nh, forum, etc...
I noticed that certain higher or roughly equal level farms would sell BEM and SEM. And, by buying it off their RSS kept me with poor with a maxed out barn and I hated it. So, I sold off my expansion stuff in my RSS and just enjoyed farming. Being expansion crazy was stressful.
Around this time, I stopped with barn at 800 maybe and 750 silo. Then we got nh and eventually, chat. I joined my nh and we got to talk game. It took months before I started expanding again. What happened in my pause from expanding, I learned what things in the game I liked, gained loyal friends and followers and a TON of coin. That helped me get all my machines, decorate and more. With the addition of the town, which sounded much more complicated than it was, and ducks, new machines and the derby, I found new avenues to gain lots of expansion stuff and occasionally expand barn or silo.
I think with lower level people taking advantage of high level players, it burns them out and makes them a little greedy and sort of ♥♥♥♥♥s people of the experience. You learn to play the game and find lasting enjoyment by facing the issues and solving them your own way. But that is why I have been playing two years now and still find it interesting and enjoyable. I occasionally run across one of these players seeming that they are trying to prove something and either ask, ask, ask in nh chat and never give or nh jump between nh that help but anyone can join (no approval to join). The leader of the nh will kick them out. I have seem people bragging that they got all of the achievements or top of the boat leaderboard by level XX and now they are done with it. I don't like people like that.
