Any tips for getting MORE gems?

I have a "problem" with spending gems as soon as I get them... Does anyone have any tips for me to get MORE gems and/or tips for saving them? I need to save for Builders hut's I'm TH7 and I still have only 2 builder's huts! Thanks! :thumbsup::heart: (Without Buying Any Gems!)

Or... You stop wasting gems (you dont really need to use as a th7) and climb to masters/champs to get those juicy rewards.

Step 1: get a job
Step 2: Pay bills
Step 3: Spend disposable income on gems

For Free Gems do the following:
- make a compact base in the center of the map, so that there is a place for a new obstacle on each line (horizontaly and vertically)
- don't play too much. Optimal is logging in twice a day for 0-2 hours. This way you will get more obstacles.
- use TH sniping to get to the master league to get 1000 gems. Also crystal league bonus and 150 war stars are good too.

When I first started reading thought was going to be another sarcastic comment but was actually a good tactic. Kudos.


OP, I would have agree with the former fellow that said that gems should not be needed to much at your th level. Most upgrades do not take that long at your th level. The achievements are the cheapest and mostly painless way to get gems though.

Everyone gets a new obstacle approximately every 8 hours, your base layout doesn't effect frequency of obstacles only where they spawn.

Agreed regarding push to Masters. Thats your gold mine.

Expose (and loose) a lot of loot to attacks. I feel like I get gem boxes more often when a loose a lot of loot to attacks.

I feel like I lose a lot of loot when I lose a lot of loot.

I haven't heard or seen and correlation between loot, trophies, attack lost/gained and gem boxes received. Every credible source states they are completely random. The strategy above will likely just cost you a bunch of loot for no good reason.

Haha, yeah. I'm totally trying to troll the OP.... Or am I? :smirk:

My second account just went to TH6. I spent no gems on the tutorial. Saved all my gems for builder huts. Just got my 4th builder hut. It is all a matter of priorities. So amazing how many more gems you get from obstacles and gem boxes than when I started my first account over 2 years ago.

Snipe all the way to Champions not only you'll get the Gems for your builders but lots of juicy bonus to upgrade your base and troops just from sniping... Yup!!! (Leave your TH in a corner untrapped )

It's kind of boring but if your goal is the Gems it's worth it..

What is sniping???

Reset/Restart the game from TH1. It's not that long to reach TH7, maybe a month or two.

I have a clan mate who spent all his gems earlier similiar until TH7. We advise him to restart, and not to spend any gems to speed up or buy resources. He's a maxed TH8 now.

Searching for bases to attack that have the Town Hall exposed outside the walls. Taking down the Town Hall with heros or other low value troops and moving on to the next search without using your full army and/or conducting a full scale raid on the base.
