How to be a 3 Star attacker at TH9 with Goho, Laloon or Holowiwi vs Max bases

When I hit th9 I made it a point to learn every attack style to get 3 stars in war against any base. My clan started asking for advice so I figured out how to make some videos that would detail a plan for my clan to get some ideas.

I am just an average guy with a wife a career and playing on my phone. I don't have crazy money to throw into games but I get the job the done against maxed bases or bases that show a weakness. I try and teach in a way that anyone can learn to three star a base by picking a method that will work on the base. I go through attacks like holowiwi, goho, shattered and cold blooded laloon, and even provide Intel on how spells and updates work. I do this all for the player trying to get it down in a reasonable way. Now I have never promoted my page before since I did this all to help my clan out but since I checked out a lot of channels I wanted to show mine since it will help any level player out. hopefully these videos are giving you idea on how to read each base, decide which troops to use and attack the base with given set of troops. the key to be the best th9 is to be able to master all 3 concepts. I have not met a base that I cannot take down by figuring out which method will work and then deploying it correctly. here are 3 more examples for you with a little break down in each video. For my first video I want to show something a little different. I have been showing you how clean runs look this whole time but I have a great video that shows a plan for a prefect run but I forgot the to deploy my all important jump spell. In the video I teach you how to path your hogs how to avoid spring traps and show some things I have been experimenting with on cc troops. The video shows what will happen if you don't tank the core as I normally do. It is a great video with a perfect plan that you will see how it turns out.

Next up is another laloon video. This base is a fairly weak base I hit to make a teaching video for my clan. People did not understand the concept of hero funneling and golem usage. Once again it is a great informational video to teach how to deploy a laloon attack. It goes against two air defenses and shows how to lay down all troops. Lastly is a base I see in almost every other war. I have not found the name of the base so if anyone knows could you please comment with the name. This a HoLoWiWi attack I do pretty much every time I see the base.

Hey Cash n' Blast, do you think Lvl 4 Hogs will do or should GoHo wait until max hogs?

If you are looking at attacking th9's max or otherwise you will need lvl5 hogs. lvl4 hogs will work at th8 but at th9 unless you can tank most defenses, you are great at getting to the core with golems and hero's, and can predict all bomb spots you will not succeed with lvl 4 hogs. Once you get lvl 5 hogs you will be able to do the attacks I am showing. Just make sure to stop point defense fire and take the cc and queen out, and your hogs will clean a base for you.

Thanks for great videos and explaining, Im a TH9 struggling in wars as in trying to get those 3 stars so will try some of your tip.
I assume you don't always 3 star so would maybe be great to see a few more videos with fails and maybe why you think it failed. I see you have one where you got two stars due to time and AQ doing her walk to the closest building even its the "long walk" around the wall.

Thank you for the comment. Although I wish I would always get a 3 star, I do fall short on an occasion. Lately I have had a good streak going with 15 3 Star attacks and the one with the queen issue. I have made a few videos of some 2 star attacks and I will pull them up and post for you. I will also make sure if I fail in the future to make some videos on why it failed if that will be of interest. Thanks again for the subscribe. I hope you will learn a lot from the work I have done and you can be a consistent 3 star hitter.

The second laloon video I uploaded on the thread also went for 2 stars due to a spell drop in the grass. Also on post #7 I put a shattered goho attack where I forgot to put the jump spell down and it ended up in a two star time fail. It is a great video on what happens if your troops get stuck and shows how to path around traps. Most fails are either due to spell placement or time fails. Hope that helps.

Here are some more fails on top of the two I listed.

This is a LaLoon attack on the dragon flower base. I ran out of time messing around with the cc too. It was after the update when ccs started changing. I should have set my golems down and funneled into the base to kill the queen and have my heros take care of the cc inside the base instead of wasting so much time drawing out the cc and messing with it.

Here is a video on a surgical hog lay that I ended up running out of time as well. I made a few crucial mistakes. 1st mistake I didn't have a safe area for my wall breakers to go which cost me time breaking a wall. my second mistake is I panicked on my hog lay not spreading them out. 3rd and biggest mistake is I didn't save clean up wizards to start cleaning the backside building which resulted in the time fail.

This last video I did awhile back and it was the first time I had face the "GIZA" base. I failed because I brought the wrong spells. I should have brought a jump spell for the north to get my troops into the top core. That would have a taken the air d's and queen out allowing my troops to clean the bottom. I have hit this base after this attack and the plan work better with a jump up north and 3 rages for your loons. The video also shows a clan mate successfully getting the 3 star after me but that plan is outdated because pups don't target the queen well anymore.

Thanks for the videos, my issue is I have usually a plan and then the panic sets in.. but the more wars I do the more I get a bit more peace of mind (I hope), also I tend to look at one place instead of "trusting" troops to just do what they should.
So quite a few good tip in there for me so lets see if I can stay calm and collected in my next war. :)

I can understand your frustration. What I do is click to scout the base, then I go over my plan and decide how I want to lay my troops. While I am scouting the base I practice tapping on the screen where I want to lay my troops over and over until it is almost muscle memory. I used to watch my troops and react and panic in the middle of my attacks, but once you react it almost always too late. Just map the base out decide where the traps and bombs are, and lay your troops down with a plan in mind. When you do that just watch your troop line. I play on my phone, so you know every attack I do can be done by any player. Trust your plan and click on hero's and troops when you need to and you will succeed. Once you trust yourself to not watch the attack you will do much better. Good luck out there.

Hey guys just completed another war with another perfect 6 stars. thought I would share my plans and replays with you.

First up I attacked a very common base designed after "Chris' Anti-Hog" build. I used a HoLoWiWi/GoHo mix build to separate each part of the base and dismantle it. I am sure you will come across this build often, so here is my plan.

I apologize that is has been awhile since my last update. Work got a little hectic, but I am back again with some fresh attacks. It was requested that I show any failures as well and I was on a prefect streak for the last few weeks but I finial have a failure review video to share along with some perfect 3 star attacks.

This first video is of my recent failure. I got over confident on this base and sold out on a plan without making a back up plan or double checking outside bomb spots. This is a good tool to show what happens when a plan is not thought out.

I am glad the video's are helping you out. Currently the only methods that I use to communicate to views are either directly on my channel, under the video on the comments, or on threads on this forum. I didn't originally plan on my videos going out to the public as I first made them to be training tools for my clan, but decided to start expanding and sharing for the community to see that you can form well thought out 3 star attacks without having to use mods.

Great question! I am nearing the end of my time at town hall 9, so yes my heroes are getting higher in levels. When I hit town hall 9 I forced myself to only do the methods I show. I didn't start making my videos until my clan was requesting me to show them some how-to replays of my attacks so they could learn to do the same. If you look at my earlier work on my channel you will notice that my heroes are lower level and a few times I am doing attacks with 1 or no hero at all. Those were of course before the update when you could opt out of war. I was still able to accomplish the task of 3 star attacks.

If your heroes are low level you may have to change a few things on your troop set up or just hit bases that are not maxed out. I would start with lower level bases until you get the hang of funnel cutting and troop allocation. The things that helped me, with low level heroes, was I would always pull the cc and kill them away from the battle. I would use a kill squad with 2 witches and some wizards. I have videos explaining how to accomplish using kill squads and dealing with cc troops. The witches will also do double duty when entering a base to kill off heroes as the skeles will distract the heroes and defenses which allows your troops and heroes to enter the base and kill off the queen. Just make some adjustments with fire power adding a few wizards or witches for distraction. I hope that explains it well. Have faith in the plans you make and make sure to cut a path for your troops to enter the base.

Thanks a lot for the reply! Will do more studying to get the funnelling method down pat. Being the top 2 in a clan sure is heavy especially if a war comes down the line and score is even. I would love to show you my base, but that would make my base useless in war. I have considered releasing it on the forum when I move to th10 but I have not decided since some clan mates want to use it. I will say though, the best base is a base you make yourself. The one I use is not one you can find, but one I designed. It has done well for me. It has held for the past year and was just recently 3 stared for the first time by a th10, even though I usually get attacked by th10s every war now. In short just design one that has hidden spaces and will generally force troops to the outside. Keep your cc and queen well buried and well protected, and I am sure any original base will be the best one you can pick.

Well I have some great news. I have been getting a lot of questions and feed back lately on the channel. I honestly did not know where I wanted to take my videos, but it seems like it has been a great tool for the community. The feedback I have gotten was from some viewers who have watched the content and understand my attacks, so they want to skip the planning section. I still want to teach people how to base read and plan so I made a fix to the problem. Hello again. I apologize for my absence. I had some real life issues going on but I continued through war and had some amazing holowiwi attacks to show that were deleted by the update. I was only able to use 1 heal the whole attack and still barely ran out of time for the 3 star. It goes to show with a solid plan against a base you can pull off great attacks.

~Hope you guys are enjoying the fresh content. A few of my videos that I was making were deleted with the random update today but I still have new content for you and I was able to pull off some more 3 star attacks in my current war that should be up in the next day or so.

the first video I have is a base I was playing clean up for the clan. I was able to defuse his bombs with a surgical lay but I was one giants short for soaking up damage and you can see how important they can be when I lost 3 hogs or so due to point defense fire.

the next video is pretty interesting. we went up against a clan who had 6 or so bases build the same so I did a fast run in the begging of war to show the clan how they should attack all similar bases. the clan followed suit and we won the war easily.

I truly appreciate all the great feedback I have gotten and I decided to take some more tips from my viewers. I have been on a roll lately with my attack but people wanted to see more loon attacks. Trust me loons still work. Every base has a weakness. Yes you can hit a max th9 with a laloon attack and get 3 stars. I was out of the house for the last few days, so I have 5 new videos uploading now while I did a few wars.

After a few days off I have new videos going up tonight including another fail and clean video. I am honestly puzzled why the tactics I show have not become more popular. If I can improve in content or videos I would love to hear ideas. I am trying to bring the community to strategy that is honest and does not have to use methods that are outside of the fair gaming play. During war you can only attack bases that are available, and if you can add an easy 3 star attack for your clan that is always best. The videos I show can hopefully teach you to read the base and decide what method to use and attack with.

Ah yes, not dealing with the heroes properly can end an attack quick. I see most people fail by either doing that or not leading the hogs with spells, or messing up on the cc.

Each base will require a different attack or troop composition. That is why I try and teach all three, but the basics of troop funneling yet spreading out their dps applies to all attacks. Hope your next try is succesful.

I hope so too haha. I was so concentrated on the DGB that forgot about the AQ AND to send Giants in first.

Question, do you ever practice not during war? I can't really afford to bring low amount of stars since I am always successful with GoWipe so clan depends on my stars.

An honest answer is no. I have not practiced war attacks ever outside of war. It did take me a bit of time to break into getting 3 stars successfully. I also sat down and drew out every attack I did for war. In my mind farm bases never give you a true example of going against a war base so I sharpened my skills with fire. I took some hits in the beginning but you will grow with your troops and figure out how to funnel and how to perfect each attack. I have had clan mates practice outside of war and it seems to mess them up during war due to not finding the same strength war base and not learning war techniques. I would suggest research and watch as much as you can. Then pick a base that may seem a bit easy to start and work your way up. I hope that helps.

As promised I have uploaded 2 new videos. Both bases are widely popular and the attacks I show you have worked for me for the entire time I have been at town hall 9. As every update come out and troops and defenses change usually your attack and strategy must change as well. However, with both these bases I have been able to use the same attack and strategy for the most part.

First up is the "THE GENERAL" base. I use a cold blooded laloon attack using the outside archer tower as an anchor point for my golem. You will see i add a haste spell and use a rage to force my kill troops into the queen, the cc, and the one air defense. After that it is a simple hound and loon clean up.

Next is "CHRIS' ANTI HOG" base. On this base I originally used a holowiwi attack but have switched to using a shattered goho with loons to clean side defenses and a surgical hog lay to spread my hogs. You can tell this plan is so effective that i end up only using 2 heals for the attack leaving one in the bank.

I apologize for the absence. I have been working on getting a network deal finished and i have been trying to clean up the channel appearance. While i continue to work on the layout and art I figured i would drop by with some videos while I try to let the dust settle. Well I took a much needed vacation, but i am back with a few replays and waiting on a few others to finish posting on the channel. I have been receiving lots of comments and questions and I truly appreciate all the interest in what I have to share.

First up is a base that looks easy but I see these bases give tons of problems. You will see two quick fails on it followed by my 3 star run. I always tell people just because the base looks simple with no noticeable spots for bombs to do things properly or you will underestimate the base and fail.

I know a lot of channels like to add art work for the video thumbnail but i have tried to always keep a snap shot of what the base looks like so you can try and match it to bases that you see in war. Thank you for the feedback. I am glad the channel has been able to help you out. I think I will stay with the snapshot of the base layout. I know i prefer to see the layout without having to click on every video.

First up is something a little different than I normally do. In war sometimes you have to attack above your town hall level to help your clan out. I have shown a few examples of attacking multi set infernos with a penta golem attack. This time I went to a single set inferno so i attacked with witches under rage. Hope this helps.

Hey guys I know its been awhile since I have put a new post up. I have been hitting a lot of TH10's in war lately and also working on the new TH8 hog section of the channel. I do have some great TH9 GoHo videos i am working on tonight hopefully will have them up tomorrow.

The new video i do have up right now is a townhall 9 with a hound in the CC. The reason I wanted to highlight this attack was due to the odd shape of the base. I always say pull the hound out and use the healer trick that I have showed you. With this base to do that would have been difficult due to the shape and where I have to attack the Queen at. This base also has a few outer possible bomb spots so i make the plan around dealing with the hound the bombs and getting that Queen down. I show you this because if you face a hound on the inside of the base it can distract your troops for too long while they are under fire and make you fail the attack.

Basically, I have been 3 starring with GoHo pretty consistently but have hit a rut. I'm finding that bases with shallow queen,4 single gbs and a big time time dps core (quad teslas etc) are giving me problems. I can only detonate 1 gb at best with kill squad and I pretty much have to drop golems where they get beat on by the queen and cc at the same time. When I try to come from farther away my kill squad doesn't get it done. King/Queen lvl 15, all other troops maxed out. My hogs go in and my kill squad is just not deep enough and I have to use heal for core, so I'm down a heal for last gb. I mean I got 1 star on this base, like 70% so it really wasn't close (and very embarassing). Army was :

1 lvl4 golem (max in cc)
26 hogs
10+ wiz
15 Queen
15 King
3 Wbs

At one point or another we all seem to hit a wall on a base that will he difficult. That base looks like a similar build to the gamatrix base. When setting down golems I always make sure they are not going to draw the cc or fire from a hero until I am ready to enter the base. Sometimes I need to sit down and come up with a different entry plan but if it is not avoidable to draw the cc or hero fire you will need to have power troops right behind the golem to fight the enemy hero or cc. I have noticed that if a cc have a drag and loons that if you pull the cc and poison the loons first it takes a lot of dps away and keeps your golems alive longer. The enemy queen can destroy your golems quick so do everything you can to not set up a golem within 7 spaces of her until you can create a funnel.

If all else is failing and you feel your troops are not getting deep enough it is OK to add an extra golem. I have had teammates with low heroes use 3 golems and a few less hogs. This also works great of you need to get deeper into a base. Just experiment with what works best for you. Some bases you will benefit from the extra golem as it will let you kill troops destroy more and add some extra tanks into a tightly built base.

Awesome, thank you. I like the 3 golem idea for certain bases and will definitely try it out. Also will do the loon burn off.

I've realized with the dense bases that all that dps will burn down hogs, so even if I brought 30+, unless I get more from kill squad they're not wiping the base. You the man, love what you're doing for the community.

First thank you guys for the support. Minicoop with high level heroes and max troops those bases should not be a big issue. The first base looks like an off shoot of the "white flag" base. I have always used a mix of goho with some loons to take out certain parts. There seems to be two obvious bomb spots that you will have to path around or push your troops through. The second base looks like the traps are up north and in the center so i would push my golems and heroes from there and hog around the south. anywhere you see wiz towers on the outside wall you can tank them with a giant and hog straight in. hope that helps some i will have new videos to upload tonight for you guys.

Both these bases are pretty common and will show you a fail and clean. As always in the beginning is a skip forward button for you to just watch the 3 star portion.

I know the pain. Life always come first. I am a 60 hours a week worker with a family but this game is a lot of fun for me and i'm glad my wife supports my habit. Hey guys I have been busy in the lab creating new stuff since the update I will have a whole series coming out on new attacks. Tonight i have two sneak peeks of what we are working on.

First up is an attack by Yolo. He does an amazing queen walk with a zap quake on the air defense. This is the first war he has unleashed this attack and it works with a few hiccups.

Next up I do my very first war attack with my new attack. I don't have a name so any ideas i will hear. The attack is geared for bases that have a hound in the cc and a queen set between defenses. It creates a triangle kill zone for the enemy queen. I tried it on a max th9 with xbows up to test its true power. Without further ado I have my new attack.

I finished another goho video using a double poison for the cc. This is a great strategy when the enemy is using drags and lower hp troops. This video will give you insight on how i pick apart a base to figure out how to send hogs into each area of the base that might have a double bomb. Two more videos are uploading now. Hey guys sorry i forgot to post the other video of a Stoned GoHo attack I made. This was against an anti- 3 star base build. The clan was using hounds but the hound was hard to pull so i decided to bring an extra golem for a tank and to help clear out more zones. I also took away a heal in place for a rage to help punch the hound faster. You can see i was rushing and not paying full attention to the attack but as always if you have a good plan you can overcome small mistakes. Enjoy!!

Hope everyone has been having a great holiday break and enjoying the 1 gem boost. I took a nice week vacation and came home to find the videos that I recorded for before i left corrupted. I have been busy today trying to piece together something from our last 4 war that i can show you. We have had some great wars with people using all forms of attacks again. Hello again. I have have finished a few wars but due to the service break I lost a few attacks to record. I have picked up some great attacks from myself and my teammates. As requested I recorded some LaLoon attacks and 3 new "queen POP" LaLoon attacks. That is the attack I featured after the update. I think that is the name I will stick with. Most the videos are processing now and only 2 have finished. I figured I would show these while I wait on the others.

First up is the popular "Cyanide" base build. I used a shattered GoHo instead of the stoned version I normally do since you can poison the cc.

Next up is a lower Th9 I had to clean for war. I decided to do my new "Queen POP" LaLoon attack to show that any level player can use this attack to 3 STAR. Heroes were not needed. I made some big mistakes and still smashed the base in under 2 minutes. I will have some MAX bases tomorrow that I crushed with the Queen POP as well.

Hello again. As promised I have grabbed another loon attack since people have been requesting it. I also just finished another "Queen POP" video and a goho on the general base. Those should be up soon.

Here is the LaLoon attack. You can see there was an archer/healer glitch that I explain in the video. You have to be careful how you use that combo so the healer turns to your archers.

Would love to see some more vids of you hitting TH10s. Even if they aren't 3 stars I think it would be valuable to hear your thought process. The problems I'm getting as a TH9 is heavily segmented bases with central infernos. Ive been doing hybrid attacks, basically valks or witches and back end loans/hogs. I even tried your queen pop since my king was down. Was going to do a queen swap, but missed my ability. I got all the ads down, but queen and infernos ripped me up. Plus, multi infernos pretty much negate any help from pups. These are low th10s, meaning 2 infernos and th8 or th9 lvl defenses. I'm pretty much having to hit 1 of those every war and so far only 1 3 star on an open bases setup.

So, long story short......go up and hit some 10s so I can piggyback your strategies haha. Thanks.

I will start recording more th10 attacks for you. I have to hit th10s quite a bit in my clan since I am our highest TH9 and in a lot of wars we are miss-matched on town halls. I wish I had captured some attacks from last war when I was able to 3 star a TH10. The basic strategy i go on th10s is if the base has both multi set infernos is use penta-golem attacks. If the base has both single set infernos then i use 2 golems and 7 witches or so. The rest of the troop comp is just 1 jump with 3 rages and wiz. 5 golems with wiz back ups against multi set inferos wrecks a base. I have a few videos on th10 attacks but i don't record them much since I thought they were self explanatory. The last few days i have been asked about th10 attacks a few times, so I will grab more replays for you guys.

Well I have another great video on a popular base. This is the "Diamond Moat" base and I crush it with my new "Queen POP" LaLoon attack. This attack is overly powerful against clans like use the hound in the cc as defense. The hound can be a huge problem for ground attacks and any attack that involves removing the queen before you attack like shattered goho or shattered laloon. Instead of dealing with it I plow through this max base. Enjoy

For tonight I am back to my old tricks on a classic base this time. I have a Shattered GoHo attack on "The General" base for you. I have not seen the General base in awhile nice, so it was great to be able to face down a max version. This base had two sets of double giant bombs. I faced the challenge by sending my troops into one double bomb and I used a path to have my hogs set off the other bomb one by one. Enjoy!!

Although my attacks are improving all the time I still have the odd fail and whether it's due to the plan, the execution or simply my troops aren't quite strong enough for some bases I don't know. Therefore, what would be really helpful (if you have time and are willing) would be if you could take a look at this base and let me know how you would attack it. I have deliberately edited my attack score from it, not because it was particularly good or bad, but just so as not to influence anything that anyone says about the base.

So, if you are willing, please tell me what you plan would be on this base......

This should be a good base for you to hog. You have a few options since his queen is exposed. I would pull the cc and poison it if you can. Then there are only two spots for all the traps so you can run some golems in the upper right spot and kill the queen from there by heading towards her. Then hog the base as normal. At a quick glance and without measuring I didn't see any trouble with your hogs running over double bombs since his defenses are pretty badly spaced around them.

Now when I said you have a few options, I meant that you can go in with your golems there soothes can tank a few defenses and they will take out that trap spot all while you head toward the queen or you can simple do a king for queen trade although you won't get the tanking power of your golems inside. Also you can choose to jump your golems into the core providing more tank power while you hog in a counter clockwise pattern or you can head to the queen and just use 4 heals Going in a clockwise pattern.

Anyway you decide that base doesn't seem to pose many problems. Just make sure to get your heals down in the bomb spots and you will be fine.

Thanks. This is exactly what I did/tried to do. As you can see from the image it started okay (apart from the BK wandering off past the jump for some reason - all the ♥♥♥♥ had been cleared and the AQ was just waiting for the big lad!).......

Sorry to hear of the failed attack but I am please the queen pop went well for you. I will be writing up an entire post here shortly on the Queen POP. I think it is an amazing attack for players with lower heroes.

I do however see the issue with your hog runs. Mass hogs doesn't work well with th9. You need to get those golems to distract as much as you can and for some of the outside defenses I use 2 or 3 giants to collect fire as hogs go in and take down defenses. The biggest issue you are running into is that lvl 5 hogs are almost a must to run great GoHo attacks. Get those hogs up and when you get some stronger golems I am sure you will shred bases with hogs. In the mean time mess around with the queen pop. It can be deadly and fun. When you get your hogs up just follow some of my videos. Get your golems in the core and hog around the base. You can see I pretty much stick to 2 golems, 1 jump, and 3 heals. The giants are a big help as well.

Just last night, a clan mate, TH8.5, just 3* a max TH9 war base (enemy BK and AQ were 14, attacker was BK=10, AQ=3) with a GoHo using L4 hogs. L5 Golem out of CC, 32 L4 hogs (along with 12 wiz, 6 WB 4 heal). I kid you not...lol

Granted, I would agree this is likely an exception, but I just have to laugh at the coincidence of this post/recommendation, which I do agree with, but...good grief! can't believe my clan mate pulled that off, but GoHo is a really strong attack at TH9 with a L5 golem coming out of the CC & proper deployment.

I agree. Like I said it is possible with lvl4 hogs but the placement and skill needed has to match the base build. If the traps in the base are not set well and you can tank the defenses with some troops and a golem or two then you might get away with lvl 4 hogs but it is tough. Lvl 5 hogs will provide you with more wiggle room for error and when you combine those with a good set of tanks then the likelihood of success increases.

Today I am featuring two attacks from my brand new TH9. This is the "Queen POP" LaLoon attack I have been showing. I finally got a new th9 up to par. As soon as i hit th9 I upgraded loons and unlocked hounds. With that troop set I went to war to see how well this attack can work for new people. I got 6 stars! On both attacks I was the first player to hit the base. For that matter I was the first player to hit any TH9's so I had no idea what the cc's held. To hit a fresh base I had to pull the cc's to test them.

This first attack you will see pulling the cc did not go how I planned it but I worked around the problem as you must do in war when you hit a speed bump. This is a brand new th9 hitting a brand new th9. The base is weak, because I was testing the waters for my first attack. ENJOY!

I don't want to pile on requests, but if you come across any of the new meta bases with an offset queen and traps on the opposite side, would love to see a vid. These are really the only bases that are giving me trouble right now (note: I have 15-10 heroes). You had a stoned goho video a few weeks back on an anti-three that really showed the power of that attack. A vid or two on that would be great. Keep up the great work.

Funny that you mention that request. It has seems like as soon as someone request a base I come up on one in war that day. I just hit a base but I used the new Queen POP attack on it and the base was fairly weak. I have a brand new th9 that I have been wrecking with queen pop. I will make sure to run some GoHo plans on the next meta build I see for you and post the video.

The first one is a fail and clean video. I show the common mistakes made of players setting their golems as anchor within range of heroes. Used the queen pop for the first time this week against a fairly tough anti-three and got a pretty "easy" three star. Thanks for sharing this. Some observations about the attack:

It uses the same principals as penta (which seems to be largely dead), but has two advantages -- you know exactly which AD your hounds will head to after the first two go down, and you have WAY more loons due to the troop space saved with one less hound. This allows for some margin for error.

It goes without saying, but it is at max effectiveness when you know a hound is in the CC. You can bring the haste spell instead of poison, and you just don't have to worry about the CC.

I found a decent use for my heroes. I picked a CC blind spot by a sweeper, a wiz, and an arch tower. At the start of the attack, I dropped my BK and hit his ability to clear out trash buildings. Then I dropped my queen and she took out each of the three buildings, which were dangerous to my loons. I was curious if you played around with your heroes in this way at all.

When would you flat out avoid using this attack? Is it based on AD placement? Defensive building placement? One occasion where I could see myself flubbing an attack because the defensive buildings are set behind trash buildings and my loons will path incorrectly.

Again, thanks for sharing. I realize I need to have an alternative to hogs, especially on those occasions when bows are set to ground (a level three bow on ground can absolutely stop a goho dead in its tracks).

I’m trying to get into Goho but am sucking pretty bad.

My golems are still in process of upgrading to level 2 but wondering if its still possible to 3 star with level 1. My queen is level 5 and King level 7. Wizards at level 5 and Jump spell level 2. (My killsquad is really ♥♥♥♥) Apart from that Hogs are maxed with level 5 heal spell.

Just wondering if the 3* is still doable against most Th9’s (Level 96).

Thanks you for your interest, thoughts, and questions. The Queen POP is definitely a deadly attack that all levels of th9 can use even against max bases. Since the first time I used the attack, I have had many wars to mess around and fine tune it. You are correct with a cc hound the attack is amazing, but I have seen even when you have to pull the cc and use your heroes to kill it, the attack still overwhelms a base. I do try and use my heroes to pick on the edge of the base on the side that I zapped the air d so my loons do not have to do much clean up there. Also if my queen can reach a blower or a wiz tower that might mess with my loons I will try and shoot for that.

I also got a brand new account up to th9 and since it has low heroes I solely do queen pop with that account. It has been almost perfect in war even hitting some max bases. Usually I have to pull the cc since I go first with the new account and I haven't seen issues. Pulling from the side as the destroyed air defense let's me also loon kill some of that side's defenses.

As far as bases to avoid. I would say if the queen is not even close to where your hounds will pop that will make it difficult. I have been testing the limits of this attack a lot lately, but have not yet uploaded those videos. I will have a lot more content up very soon and it should help you see how well this attack is even against anti 3 star bases, and bases that u would think to avoid, like where the air defenses are super spread out on corners since that would offer loons little protection. Like I said hopefully the new videos will answer some of your questions.

Keep up the good work and trust me I wouldn't be putting out content that I don't think would work for everyone.
