This is a nightmare to fix, and you're correct, vbulletin is basically "featureless" in this regard. You can create a new usergroup and limit them to only being allowed to reply to threads, and not create them. However, there isn't any promotion system so the members would have to be policed manually. That is pretty much impossible for someone to constantly monitor new member posts.Quote:

Strongly recommend you guys put up some temporary mods because the spam has definitely gone pretty wild the past couple of days. Having 1-2 active forumers in the opposite time zone (near India would be optimal since the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spammers are active during that time). Though doing so would be rather difficult :p
