My horses have been happily wandering around their paddock for about 2 years. Suddenly they are wandering all around my farm which I am not really happy with. The field is still walled in so no change there Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

Hi Lornamay. There is a thread here:

A few of us have chimed in on this probelm. My solution so far is to leave mine standing around asleep and only feed them at night. Otherwise they hang around in a mob by the road and mailbox. Its annoying.
SC "support" said this was a glitch/bug fix. Hmmmm. Whatever was worse than this I sure didn't notice. However "support" informed me that it would be fixed in the next update.
Why do so many people want to keep their hoses walled in? I'm loving seeing mine roaming free 🐎🐎🐎
This is why:

They are not real!!!!!
You are right, they aren't real. But you enjoy their roaming. Their roaming leads to very interesting animations as they interact with other things going on. Every time I go to harvest a field of 25 plots, there are three pets romping through them. It is a little amusing imagining what the horse walking out the side of my house was doing in the house. It is a little wacky seeing the truck run through one of your pets. Just saying
LOL. Thanks for that. We are all aware its a game and nothing is real. However when the dog walks thru the pasta machine, real or not, its nauseating. I am not worried any of them will get chopped up or run over or any other horror. What I don't like is having to move them out of the way to get to the gosh darn mailbox. Or to get milk from the cows. Etc. Do I think PETA is coming to investigate? No I don't. I would just like them back to being a non nuisance.
The pic I posted was to illustrate how they mob together and are in the way. Not that the road was a concern. If Tom can get run over on a regular basis, well............ 🙀
Yeah, I find it annoying to have to chase a bunch of horses away from my mailbox or gift catalog before I can use it.
Also, the horses walk straight through the farmhouse. It's kinda creepy.
Kind of funny when you go to harvest wheat and it squeals!
Saw one of my horses trying on the same pair of woolly chaps twice today. His pinto mate came by and laughed at him. So he tried them on again.
And the chickens, cows and pigs seem unscathed no matter how many times the horses and donkeys gallop through their pens.
My temporary solution is the whistle. When I see my kittens strolling down the road or my horses blocking access to the mailbox, I whistle for them. Then I close my eyes until they are through careening across the farm. Count me in as one who would like the animals to respond logically to inanimate objects around my farm in the way that the townies respect buildings, walls and hedges.
I didn't get oatmeal for breakfast - the horses helped themselves to the Quaker Oats in the farmhouse pantry:facepalm::cool:
