Should I try to rebuild my clan?

My clan is about halfway to level 7, 101 war wins, and I lead it. Some of the members there are great attackers, great people, but there are a good amount that are half decent at best. I've thought about kicking out everyone that could be holding us down, especially in wars. Myself and the other co-leaders have tried to help the weaker attackers, but it seems to go in one ear and out the other.

As of right now, we're about a 50/50 clan when it comes to win/loss ratio. Sometimes we have those long losing streaks where everything seems to go wrong, sometime we're able to string together a bunch of wins like it's nothing. But the losing streaks seem to be endless at times. I envisioned my clan being able to go 75/25 in terms of win/loss, but with the group we have, it's just not going to happen.

So, I wanted to ask...

Is it worth it to try to rebuild my clan? Kick out everyone who is a questionable attacker, unreliable, etc. and try to recruit stronger members? Or is it just too difficult to build a very strong war clan now?

I say go for it. Keeping unreliable people will destroy your clan in the long run.

If half your clan is bad, you can't just boot half the clan right away. For one, your clan will seem "dead" to people still there. Even people who can't attack probably still talk and donate.

I'd say start with a clan message, those who can't improve in wars need to sit out and practice or be shown the door. You can still war with the half that is good at war and simply include a limited number of others so they won't pull the entire war down. Those that don't like sitting out may leave on their own. I think letting a few leave on their own because they aren't good enough to war is far preferable to kicking out half a clan (at which point even if I was still in the clan I'd seriously consider leaving because that's a really poor way to run a clan).

well , don't add them to the war , and they ll quit =)

That was one of my worries, if i start kicking all at once, it may lead others to leave. I figured something like that would happen. Maybe just going little by little would work better, because of the 'dead' factor. Thanks.

We have been trough this in the past. But as some of the players slow down in activity in periods, it's a shame to kick the ones who after a couple of months start up again and then get better attacking. What we did this summer was creating a sub clan, moving all the inactive non war players over. This works great, and we did not have to kick long time members, just told them that they could stay in the other clan until they got better attacking and more active.

You could also try this: Start with 10v10 wars. If you win, you expand to 15v15. Win, you expand to 20v20. Lose and you go back down. This will keep stronger people involved in wars. You just keep adding in what you think are the next 5 strongest who are opted in. People who stink will either quit your clan, improve, or opt out (which should be fine). Or maybe you set a baseline of people you think are good, maybe you have enough good people to make your lowest war 20v20. You slowly add in people who aren't quite as good, give them a chance to war and improve. If they can't/won't take direction, you just leave them out of wars completely....or you boot them.

Keep your best 10 for wars and you will get perks quicker and build from that!

Just kick 5 of the worst to show hostility, than the others might think they should try harder and if that fails kick em all out and rebuild
