Need Some Advice please

Hi,

I am in a awesome clan called Champion World, every one in the clan is truly Awesome and supportive.

This is a clan that has both kids and adults playing together. The Problem is me my name is Alex
and I am the highest TH at TH9 my troops and defense are pretty much at max level, and my walls are purple and
skulls. The problem is my attacks stink we are currently in a war and up by 2 points, this war is a fair match, but
despite my best efforts I have not achieved a single star for my clan. I do donate max troops level 6 balloon level 6 Archers Barbs, and Giants and level 4 Dragons.

While other clans would have kicked me my clan offers nothing but encouragement. I love Clan Wars but it kills me
that I am hurting my clan, so I ask should I opt out of wars? Also if I opt out I know I cant give anything to defensive castle but can I donate to Attacking castle? I would appreciate any help.

Also if anyone would like to join check us out Kerri is the leader Mommy G and Connor are co leaders. just say you saw alex we have 6 wins and are a level 2 clan

u can donate troops for attacking thats not an issue but not for war base defense

Being the top TH9 is very tough, as the whole clan starts to rely on you for getting the top TH9 bases as the lower TH9s don't have the attacking force to do so yet. I suggest pushing trophies and starting to practice your GoWiWi and GoWiPe until you have perfected it. Doing it in multiplayer battle is a lot less stressful and it doesn't matter if you don't get all the stars you want. Then, once you practised enough, opt back in and hopefully by then, there'll be some more higher TH9s :)

I think if I opt out I can still donate level 4 dragons and Balloons, that's what my clan attacks with, this will be the best chance for them to win. Question if I opt out will it give my clan a better chance of victory because of the higher troops

You will give them a better chance because your TH9 base won't count towards the war pairing.

Yes, this. All of it. If you REALLY want to help your clan gain stars and not be an offense liability then you have to practice. There are TONS of strategies at TH9 that can help you wreck bases.

Here's where I would start. This is NOT my youtube video. I already knew the general formula, but I was missing the 3rd piece. That's why I was a 1 or 3 star guy. Now I KNOW what I need to do.

countless people have posted regarding this problem. fear not. forumers unite!

post pictures of the base you are going to attack and im sure we'll be able to guide you on how to deal with the base(s). imo multiplayer doesnt really help much (im not saying it doesnt help), because in wars people usually build their bases stronger, and their main priority is the th and preventing stars instead of loot. in addition, they have filled cc with their strongest troops.

here are a few tips i have learnt over the past wars:
1) treat the attack as if you have nothing to lose, nervousness or fear clouds your judgment and ability to react on the spot. (you're already not getting any stars at the moment, what's worse that can happen? )
2) plan your attacks in advance, and go through them a few times. i go through my attacks at least 7-10 times before making my attacks. think of important points such as 'what can the enemy cc contain?', 'how will i deal with them?' etc
3) watch replays close to your target number, to get a rough idea on enemy defensive cc and the best way to deal with them. i doubt many will put witches and wizzies in cc now that poison is introduced.
4) since you're a th9, decide whether you're going for the 2star or 3star. note that sometimes 3star strategies turn into 1star if you mess it up. recommended for you to go for the 2stars first since you're not experienced.

TL;DR - post a picture of the base you are going to attack and we'll work out a strategy for you. better yet, post a picture along with what attack strategy you have in mind, so that you learn in the process. Note: best to block out the enemy clan name, as well as player names.
