How does the game decide what the most heroic attack in clan wars?
90% of the time it isn't even the most heroic attack.
if number 5 get 1 star from number 2 with barber and goblins, that's the most heroic attack..Quote:

Usually, the "heroic attack" are gained by the clan's top bases while "heroic defense" are from lower bases.
Sometimes, you just got to "feel" it, if you're going to attack a maxed defense of their respective TH level as well a decently upgraded walls while you are 1-2 townhall below it(and not so decently upgraded troops), it almost always you'll get the heroic attack even if you just got 1 star.
Of course, getting 2 stars would definitely be harder that your title be taken away from you by your clan mates.
It makes no sense. Last war i attacked 10 high (and a th up as well). I had most heroic attack until our number 2 got 2 stars..... on his mirror. I dunno.
Here is what I see, it is based on number of stars, rank in war, ranking attack and percentage destruction.
1) number of stars - quite obvious
2) #2 attack mirror for 2 stars 50%. Then #1 attack mirror for 2 stars 50% also using same army. #1 takes over most heroic attack.
3) Lower rank attack higher and gain similiar stars will get most heroic attack.
4) #1 attack mirror for 2 stars 50%. #2 attack mirror for 55% 2 stars using same army. #2 takes over most heroic attack.
I guess base-weightage/strength is included as well.
I should have mentioned my attack was 3 stars.
I've seen some strange ones, like our number 20 attacks their number 20 for two stars, then title is taken by our 2 attacking their 5 for one star.
Sometimes it's attacking much higher on map, sometimes mirror, sometimes a one star attack will beat a three star. I don't get it either.....
most heroic attack, defence and reccomended attack are all broken or seem to lack a decent logic

From what I've observed, number of stars doesn't always matter (apart from getting at least 1 obviously) but I could be wrong.
Most of the ones I see are from attacking a higher-ranked base but as mentioned above, many of them aren't actually that heroic
