Clash Con - October
Supercell has announced that on the 24th of October, Clash of Clans will have its annual 'Clash Con' event in Finland. Visitors will enjoy top Clans battling for distinct honors, with interactive commentary by choice YouTubers. There will be laughter, joy, and fun throughout the day; attendees will also be invited to a Clash Con-exclusive party filled with food and drinks, all included with their ticket. However, there's still more - Supercell has mentioned they have some "surprises brewing".
The venue is Messukeskus Expo and Convention Centre based in Helsinki, Finland. Tickets are already on sale. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of thousands of Clashers coming together to participate in the game they love most!
Nordic Clash Tournament
Supercell has been busy lately, as a Nordic Clash Tournament has begun! This Clash Tournament includes the Nordic countries of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland in an epic battle of Clash of Clans that is full of nonstop excitement.
Phase 1 started when each country gathered their best players into one clan and went head-to-head with the other Nordic Clans, battling on the Global top clan list. This phase ended on the 8th of August, when each clan sent their top ten players to the Supercell Headquarters to participate in an exclusive Clan War tournament!
This Clan War tournament, or Phase 2, will begin on the 23rd of August at 2:30 - 5pm GMT. Each participant will be playing on Supercell's developer servers at the Supercell HQ, so don't miss out on the fun! To keep updated with the tournament you can subscribe to the official Clash of Clans YouTube page at http://www.youtube.com/OfficialClashOfClans or follow Clash of Clans on Twitch at http://www.twitch.tv/clashofclans.
This live-streaming event will have two parts to it: the Semi-finals and the Finals. Semi-final matchups are decided based on how well each clan did in Phase 1. The #1 clan will battle against the #4 ranked clan, whereas the #2 clan will face the #3 clan. The winners of each Semi-Final war will go to the Finals. The winner of the Finals will represent Nordic countries in Seoul, South Korea, on September 24th.
The Nordic Clash livestream will be hosted by popular YouTubers Chief Pat, Galadon, Molt, and Nickatnyte straight from the Supercell Headquarters.
Top suggestions of this edition
The Clash of Clans News Team will post two suggestions that stood out the most on the forums during that period in every edition. These ideas are heavily supported by the community and deserve to be recognized here.
Make heroes usable in Clan Wars while upgrading
This edition will start with a suggestion which didn't take long to be one of the most popular requested features amongst the forum and in-game, ever since Clan Wars. This idea is entitled “Make Heroes Usable in Clan Wars While Upgrading” and is under the format of a petition to collect the signatures of all the people who support this idea. Ever since it was posted on the forums of Clash of Clans on October 18th, 2014, this idea gathered 2,175 total replies spread across 218 pages, most being filled with signatures supporting the petition.
This topic became the biggest petition existing currently on the clash forums, which attracted the attention of the forum community as well as the in-game one. The two communities joined together to share their opinion about this change, and it even reached the ears of the people from the offices of Supercell.
Currently, the idea is marked as “unlikely due to technical issues” but you can still show your support for it by checking the petition and signing it in the original topic posted in the Ideas & Feature Requests section on the forums.
Previous clan window
This edition will also talk about another interesting idea entitled “Previous Clans Window”, an idea which answered the call of many players regarding a clan history menu. Ever wondered where the new applicants for your clan have been before joining your clan? With this idea, you could have a small list of the last 3 previous clans the member has been in, along with the number of war stars achieved and total troops donated in each of the clans!
The author of this idea, Godog, suggests the addition of a window into each player's profile to provide all this information about the new applicants.
You can view some images with this idea, as well as more details about it, in the original topic posted in the Ideas & Feature Requests section on the forums.
