Nice post, but u were wrong about the villagers in a way. So, when u start an attack, or u r watching a live replay of ur base being attacked, u see all the villagers and builders running to the th, which means that they r still "inspecting or whatever.

These alchemists are very important because 1) they found out how to extract pure Dark Elixir from the mines so far underground and 2) they "upgrade" our troops. How do they upgrade them? They take the elixir and dark elixir that we give to them and use it to experiment on troops, changing their biology to make them fight better.
