Th8 Gowipe 4 earthquake spells

OneHive has a good EQ video. Actually makes it look pretty useful at TH8.

My 2nd account is TH8.

If using gowipe (which is quite often, but certainly not every time by any means), I go with 4EQ, 1 poison, 1 rage.

WHether I use wb depends on whether the EQ will breach from teh outer walls to the core. If not, then I usually take 4wb to breach the outer walls (using EQ on inner walls).

I more often tahn not get 3* against other TH8 bases with this.

There's not a specific strategy to use. You only use EQ spells when you can basically destroy lots of compartments and create a path straight to the TH. I would use a rage spell with it, and a poison spell. You should only be using EQ spells on a base which is quite spread out but you can open up a pathway. If not, stick to wallbreakers with 1 heal and 2 rages.

Calling someone a liability for using GoWipe, while in the same sentence suggesting hogs is pretty comical. Hogs were a great suggested strategy for a TH 8 in 2013. Not anymore.

Discrediting hogs now is also fairly comical as they are still a staple in what is probably the most powerful army comps at th8 right now. No queen to deal with, max 1 double bomb set makes hogs in a skilled user deadly against almost th8 base.

I've also seen very good gowipe, gowiva, etc attacks at th8 and they are all viable if used correctly but against a max th8 hogs are still king.

What do you know about hybrid attacks? Totally agree.

My mini is a TH8 and the only time I stray from hogs is if I want to be creative. 3 starring with hogs at TH8 actually becomes very boring because it is so damn easy. I like to throw in GoVaLo and HoLo here and there if we are already in a great spot in the war.

While I can say that GoWiPe at TH8 can be a 3-star strat on certain base designs, I've never ever used it because of how effective hogs actually are.
