Is TH8.5 Useless?

I think TH8.5 may be useless! I just worked out:
A TH8.5 would: Max army buildings, Get 10/10 hero's, and max one war army comp before opting back in wars.
A TH9 would: Do what is above and build XBows.
Both people would attract TH9s
Both people would attck the same.
They opt out of war the same amount of time.
So is TH8.5 really worth it? Or should everyone once they get TH9 pop up XBows and get to LVL 3 ASAP?

It isnt useless, it is just for people who are cowards enough to war against clans equal to them.

It's not for cowards lol. The whole point of a .5, is that you want to make sure your offense stays ahead of your defense. If you went to TH9 and build both xbows and upgraded them asap, along with your other D, you would be facing bases in war, that would be too hard for you to attack well. You will have TH8 offense for several weeks and need to wait until your offense is leveled up enough to properly attack the base you will get in war. It's not a permanent thing, just saying you are focusing on offense. You could do a .5 and focus on defense only, but that would be kinda silly, because you get two attacks and only one that counts against you.

Doing this, you sacrifice your resources a little, because you will be behind on defense some, but if war is important, it's the only way to do it, without hurting your clan. New TH levels can be a burden for awhile in clan wars, this helps stop that problem.

It is for cowards because as a th8.5 you bring th8 mirror so means easier wars. If you werent cowards, you would do equal wars

But if you were against a TH9 with xbows in clan wars, then your TH8 army would be no use to attack a TH9 with xbows. It's a transitional thing, not a coward thing.
