i have 18.8 de total including storage and clan castle and a 12 hour shield. should i do a short raid here and there and lose the shield, or stick with the shield until i can play for a while. btw i need 20k de for hogs level 2. other than that i am de maxed. th7 as it says in my sig, i am in gold 2 and scared of a th7 all drag or th8 attack stealing more than 1000 from me.
What I do is calculate how much people can steal from me at my current amount (use the wiki for percentages)
I only start raiding if I know I can make more than that in the time I have
it would only be like 5 min, i cant steal 1000 plus in 5 min unless i get lucky and find a th7 with 1000 like last time. so yr saying i should sit the shield?
If you decide to play a few mins at a time do you have your th outside? If you do this may have a chance to get the snipe and not a full out attack. Otherwise I would stay shielded until you can be sure to have time to raid enough to get the upgrade. That much de on a th 7 is a nice draw for a th 8. Even without much other loot I would be after it if was easy to get. Believe should be worth at least a few hundred de even with the loss of loot from a th lower.
my friend don't wait for the shield u should attack now u need only approx 2000 more so attack now using barch. u use gems if u want raid even fast. if u wait for the shield there r chances tht u may get raided as u may not be available at tht time. who has seen the future right ?? so use this opportunity and attack now hope it helps

If you can only raid for 5 minutes at a time then you should probably cook up mass dragons or giant/healer/wizard combos.

If you got your TH outside, you should be fine. Maybe... Silver is much safer getting DE. hard to call.
If you only have time for 1 attack it's not worth losing a shield with 12 hours left on it. Wait until you can have time for a full raiding session.
As a TH9, I use Gibarch and just raid then hop off. My townhall is outside in the corner and I never really have any problems.
