Punishments for leaving during clan wars

Have bigger punishments for leaving during clan wars. Like hourly ban (increasing with frequency of leaving clan wars) from the entire game. Maybe give their attacks to the the closest people on their team (1 attack to next in line 1 up and 1 down). I feel like the "ineligible for clan wars for X time" is not enough

OR just don't let new people in your clan join wars. Clan hoppers will leave before a week if that's how long you make them wait. Or prehaps a minimum troop donation for wars.

I personally believe people who are in a clan war should have their "leave clan" button disabled until they do their 2 raids to the war is over.

You're kidding right? BAN THEM??? Its thier game, they can do what they want! Its not innaproprite behavior or lanuage, SC has no reason to ban them. Sure, you get mad at them cuz you want then to attack, but then dont choose people who might leave to be in war. This completly unnessisary. Stopping them from being in another war for a few days is more then enough.

I'm sure iceageg will be by to set you straight, but this isn't Supercell's problem...it's a clan management problem.


- What if I leave to go get troops from another clan and come back to do my attacks?

- What if I joined a clan to donate with no intention of being in a war, was opted out, and some idiot puts me in a war that I never wanted to be in?


The bottom line is you can control who is in the wars, so if it's a problem, then you need to only count in loyal members who you're sure won't leave, and will show up to do their battles.

Now thats an interesting idea...but then, the leader may just use that to keep people in the clan. People should have the freedom to stay or leave if they want.

...so now if you can't get a high level player to come to you instead of you going to them and coming back, you end up at a disadvantage over clans that might have high level players that are in the clan but not in the war.

Someone who doesn't want to participate in your war may only feel resentment for you and your clan if forced to stay.

With clans warring back to back, you can easily trap someone into your clan for an indefinite period of time. Imagine your only chance to leave the clan is a 30 minute window at 3 in the morning?

Forcing them to stay will not guarantee they use their attacks, or use their attacks with the clan's victory in mind, or even have a civil attitude towards you or your fellow clan mates.

It won't prevent them from making their base an easy, guaranteed 3 star. It won't prevent them from sniping the top 2 for 1 star (after they've already been starred, adding nothing to your victory).

And if you really make them angry, when you finally opt him out of war so he can leave, nothing is stopping him from taking information with him to your current war opponent.

Bad idea. If the clan is trash at war I want out.
OP don't let new recruits fight in war until you think they are ready.

Sure but not before you have done your attacks, it's very frustrating for people to leave a clan in the lurch.

I think this is just something which needs to be sorted out in your clan. I am part of a clan with 3 sister clans and we move between them quite often, either to assist with troops or with an advice for an attack in war. This would block us from doing so..

People could still just fast use the attacks.. start the attack, surrender and boom they used the 2 attacks.

One of the things our clan implemented is that we do not let newcomers join a war right away. Sometimes it may be up to 2-3 wars before we'll consider letting them join the active war roster, which usually means about a week with the clan. Chances are, if he stuck around the clan for a week, getting to know everyone he won't be abandoning the war.

We also require them to post a war equivalent attack before we let them fight.

Manage it like a sports team, you'll have better success.

We have not had a war deserter since we implemented these two policies.

Because then if someone didn't want to attack and/or leave, then instead of leaving during war, they'd just wait and not attack, then be kicked. Unfortunately, this would not fix much.

i don't understand why ppl bail on war! okay if losing yah okay i get why they don't use their attacks (still wrong)! But as a CO i chase them down to their new clan and make sure that clan knows they bail on war! yes they should disable their LEAVE button.. but they could still snipe 50% and get loot...

i don't get why ppl bail...

Totally agree this is a problems, which is surely only caused by kids. Would an adult do that? Surely not!!

But something does need to be addressed. I agree someone with the same/lower base weight (but never higher) should be given that attacks to use for the clan.

Yes, absolutely.

Banning or disabling the leave button is not a solution.

You can't ban someone for leaving during war for many reasons:what if the whole clan is jerks and abusive to that member? Do you expect them to stay?

What if they are leaving and will come back later? (To get troops, visit another clan.) The game can't possibly know that.

And disabling the leave button will just cause people to make a easy 3* star base and attack and surrender immeaditly. This way, they get kicked.

And bad idea for always war clans, especially if war is immeaditly started after another. To hard to keep people trapped in the clan.

I like it more then just not being able to leave during war which most people suggest but I still see two problems with this
-You can't force people to work for the good of the clan, instead of leaving they could fill war castles with garbage, fill requests with garbage, set up an easy to 3 star base, waste their attacks anyway, then leave. Or if they don't want to do their attacks, be offensive until you kick them)
-There would be no way for people to leave during prep day, imagine someone joins a clan war starts and they realize it is a bad environment for them (abusive people, extremely offensive, etc) that person has no way out for upto a day.

Personally I believe if a person doesn't want to be in your clan for whatever reason there is no benefit in forcing them to stay as they can do more harm then good.
