HELP with GoWiPe TH8 3 stars?

Wow i guess someone needs to tell my my troops that, and take away a couple hundred of my war stars that I earned on my way through TH9, lol. Maxed out TH9 and on my way to TH10 as we speak, now I did not use only GoWiPe of course, but I will use it if that is what will work, and it will work. Not to mention GoWiXx will be the base for all these other so called 3 star attacks, might as well learn at an early point to use Gosomething.

it's not a good strategy for you because you don't know how to use it.

GoWiPe is probably the strongest attack for TH8.

what I bring

2 Level2 Golems
1 Level3 Pekkas
2 Level2 Hogs to lure cc troops
5 level5 WBs
rest wizzies and a couple archers to top it off

CC Troop level 3 pekka or higher

2 Level5 Heal spells 1 rage (max) 1poison

I think my biggest problem is when i know theres a lvl 4 or higher dragon in the cc.. i get scared and not sure how i can successfully kill it. usually i lure it to a corner then send in my golem so it chases after my golem and then murder it from behind with the archers and wizzies. i think that's my problem then my golem dies too quick?

The key to successful, gowipe is timing, spell placement, good wall breaking and possibly the most important thing (save 2 or 3 wizards for the end of the battle). Choosing the right base is important too. My clan, most people don't lure cc (even if it's a drag), as long as you have enough wizards following your golem, a well placed heal over the golem will help keep it alive and wizards will initiate combat with the dragon. You should stagger release of the wizards so that they don't group up, this makes them vulnerable to splash damage and GBs. Since you can't really predict the travel of your meat shields (golem/pekka) after they go through the core, saving a few wizards and positioning them to destroy remaining defenses once they're mostly done with the base is critical. often times, golems and pekka get stuck behind a few walls and can't reach the last defenses. Making sure you wait for the last defenses to target the golem/pekka before dropping your wiz is important.

thanks for your response again..so i should replace some wiz with hogs? i am in th8 and most of my mirrors are th8..i am almost maxed so most of my opponents same... so the hogs is better to replace some wizz then?

right now i am suffering sometimes i get three stars sometimes i get 2... arghhh.. i need my usual 6 stars for war >___< good news is my hogs finally going to lvl 4..

Take out a PEKKA and put one in the CC. This means you can have 5 hogs and take out a few wizards too and have 2-3 extra hogs.

Don't listen to anyone that says gowipe isnt a 3 star strategy. That's a cop out response by people that don't know how to plan and attack properly. Th8 in particular is gowipe prime.

I would love to see you try 3 star a max th9 inc. lavas because you will fail. At th8 you can get away with any strategy but th9 you only have access to a Pekka from th8 (lvl 3)which will not 3 star a max th9.

That's right do your normal GoWiPe and when troops are in or near the core deploy your hogs. And they will destroy remaining defences that are targeting Pekkas, golem etc.
if you feel you need more hogs remove some wiz. 👍
