HELP with GoWiPe TH8 3 stars?

I've been having trouble recently GoWiPe'n in war. I cannot get a 3 star on a TH8. not sure where i am going wrong. can I get some advice from GoWiPe specialists please?

what I bring

2 Level2 Golems
1 Level3 Pekkas
2 Level2 Hogs to lure cc troops
5 level5 WBs
rest wizzies and a couple archers to top it off

CC Troop level 3 pekka or higher

2 Level5 Heal spells 1 rage (max) 1poison

I think my biggest problem is when i know theres a lvl 4 or higher dragon in the cc.. i get scared and not sure how i can successfully kill it. usually i lure it to a corner then send in my golem so it chases after my golem and then murder it from behind with the archers and wizzies. i think that's my problem then my golem dies too quick?

You should use 2 Rage and 1 Heal Spell instead. The Heal Spell is mainly meant for the Wizards so try to drop it on them and other troops if you can. Use 1 Rage Spell as all your troops are going into the walls, and the other one when your pekkas, Wizards and Barbarian King are in the middle.
I found it helpful to use 2 Golems and 2 Pekkas or 3 Golems and 1 Pekka with another Pekka in the clan castle at townhall 8 the meatshields help.

Go wipe is going downhill fast. Start using hogs if you want to be good at war.

GoWipe is not a 3 star strategy.

It CAN 3 star, but generally only on very open bases.

I know! lol my hogs are being upgraded currently only to lvl 3... don't ask me why but i screwed up on my research order >__< prollly got bad advice...

so before i can use my hogs what other attack strategies can i use with my current troops then??

Gowipe can be a 3 star strategy but it takes some practice, I would use hogs more than gowipe.

Erm.. I beg to differ about GoWiPe at TH8. Our 8's have been using GoWiPe for 3* recently. You can check out my youtube channel, I have a whole GoWiPe playlist that's nothing but three stars.

The base needs to have a small number of compartments. Usually 6 or less. The base that looks like a tire iron with the points at each cardinal direction is a prime example of a gowipe base. Any of those spread out TH8 bases like Tootsie Roll are great gowipe bases.

I've stopped luring w/ my TH8 gowipes - just be ready to throw a rage or heal down so your wizards can take down the dragon fast. Luring and killing the dragon takes way too long and you may end up losing the troops to defensive fire after they're done killing the dragon. Let the dragon wander over to your wizards and use them to fry the dragon before he does damage to your pekkas and golems.

8 wbs
2 archers
17 wiz

cc: wiz or lvl 2 witches

In most cases, I'm able to get 3-stars. Sometimes, if the walls are all skulls and very well compartmentalized, you may need to swap some of your wiz for back-end loons or hogs. But in those cases, you might be better off looking at a hog attack anyways.

have you guys tried the 3 pekka one? instead of 2 you use three pekkas? some people said that's a better comp. also 2 rage instead of just one... your thoughts?
