In any case - I do not like using any of the 3 stats available to break ties. It inhibits clans from being able to go for loot if they think they can win the war.
% destruction? What is the bottom of the clan supposed to do in a war like we had a few ago? We had a TH5 at the bottom, their bottom was a TH8. We had a few TH7s. The war was close anyway and we almost pulled off a tie. But clearly our bottom would have hurt any chance we had of getting that tie.
New stars per attack? Again, prevents people from trying to get loot when they have zero chance of getting a star. Imagine that same TH5 against anyone above. No shot at a star that matters. But just maybe they could get 50% to get some loot. We would restrict anyone from doing 2nd attacks unless we knew the war was won.
Certainly not ave attack duration. What does that really mean? I would think this is a stat that lower would be better. But someone clicking in and dropping 1 troop to offset the average would be gaming the system.
*IF* Super Cell wants to change ties (why should they really) - they need a new mechanism to do so.
