Do you mean that when you attack someone and end the battle/win and you have troops still alive, instead of them popping, you keep them but with their amount of health? That would be a good twist to the idea of keeping leftover troops.
You must restore the troop paying the quantity of elixir like... A Golem has 5000 life points and his cost is 525. He loses 40% LP(2000) and you must pay 40% of the cost (210) and the time of training(40%)
