Anyone notice the increase in the price of gems?

In Australia I have to pay $130 for a chest of gems, good for me as I don't buy gems often.

SC don't set the prices, they set the tiers - Apple/Google set the tier pricing, obviously sacks/chests/whatever are the same tier across all geographies.

Changes at the start of the year were due to Apple/Google being subject to local tax laws

Yep and it has been like that for 1 year thank goodness I don't buy gems or else I would be paying 30% more than americans

Lucky you. According to XE.com the UK pound - US dollar exchange rate over the past 12 months has flucuated from a high of 1.68$ to a £ to a low of 1.45$ to a £. Current rate is $1.55 per £.

Your $43 at each max/min/current rate in UK pounds is £25.59 / £29.65 / £27.74.

Yet as I am privileged should I wish to buy a 'Box of Gems' the cost is £39.99.

At max/min/current exchange rates the cost in $ dollars would be $67 / $58 / $62.

SC is being Greedy day by day.... we asked for heros available in war but they said it will affect thier revenue. And now this?

Both my hero's are upgrading and I'm out of wars for more than a month cause of it. War is no more fun to play with an unfair matchmaking and without hero's in it. I'm already getting bored

This price "increase" is not greed...it was caused by exchange rates fluctuating. Judging by your comment, you don't know how currency works. Do some research on exchange rates before flaming SC for it.

SC is also a business, and a business must make money to survive. I believe people gemming their heroes are probably the core business of SC. Would you remove your core business?

Both your heroes are upgrading, yet you opt in for war? No wonder you are "bored". You will never be able to do much for your clan in war when your heroes are knocked out. Especially if you are TH9+ where heroes become vital. Rather opt out and stop burdening your clan

In My country which is India there is Pile of gems is Rs.300 (5 USD) and the pack u usually buy which is Rs620(Near 10 USD i guess is not changed at all from my experience neither it changed in Air Sweeper Update nor in Dark Spells Update so i dont know buddy:p

The price has gone up because the us dollar is worth more. For example in denmarl where i come from thee dollar used to be worth around 5.5 danish crowns, now one dollar costs around 7 crowns. Its they same for all countries, just different rates. The prices increase and decrease when apple update them. The sack of gems, with 2500 gems used to cost 129 danish crowns, and now its 159. That is an increase from 19 dollars to 23,5.

1. It's got to do with Apple, Apple raised all Canadian App Store price in January and.now with taxes it's 6.50 for a bag of 500 gems.
