Something I noticed today.
Well, the play store was always cheaper than the app store but now it seems they are in line.
I usually buy the "bag of gems" which I have noticed has increased in price substantially. From ZAR549 ($43) to ZAR699 ($55).
Need to now be more conservative with my gems :O
Is this just my country or what??
What does this mean? Are SC not meeting their profit targets? Is there enough demand to support the price increase?
The price of my gems hasn't increased in the nearly 2 years I've been playing (USA). Talk about consistency!
Maybe they've noticed that there are many many people from your country buying gems, and they don't have them priced correctly. Maybe the exchange rate fluctuated and that is the result. Hard to know for sure.
It's not the price of the gems increasing. Whatever it is, It changes wrt the country & it has been answered once before. If you can find the thread, you'll find your answer quicker.Quote:

In Mexico, the price of gems got higher too, I think its the weakening of the currency like you said.
yeah apple set prices for in game currencies etc, notice how a lot of premium currencies on games have the same prices? its because apple sets them, so if apple changes them then clash of clans gem prices will change too, and apple change prices for a number of reasons inflation and strength of currency being the main ones :)

If you were previously getting 6500 gems for $43 USD, you were getting a good deal. But like the above poster said, it is Apple that controls the exact prices for various currencies.
