I'm currently a maxed townhall eight pushing to champs right now. All through crystal three and two I had a farming base. As I moved up to crystal one I changed to a trophy base... As for any tips... Have strong hp troops in your clan castle always! Make it hard to lure... Offensively.. I used dragons to get up to crystal one.. With a few defenses pushed me into masters where I am now struggling to climb at the moment.... Started running low on elixir even with the loot bonus drags and spells cost a lot.. So I switched to using hogs only hitting townhall eights.. Eventually with bonus got enough elixir to switch back to drags... Masters two by the end of the week and champs by the end of the month..
Long struggle if I can do it you can too..

It is fun chillin' in champs as a maxed th8. Nothing to spend your loot with might as well use them foe nexting and building armies than staring at my laboratory and th to be done.
Lol, a TH8 has no business in champ, just like a 9 in Titan. Those leagues are geared for Th10's and end game and you will generally bleed out more than you can ever hope to gain.Quote:

You would be better served, maxing your base in a lower league where you can actually farm/ hit efficiently then go up with the big boys when you have a big boy offense to do so. (This will be much more fast/efficient than trying to farm/push champ/titan as a 9/8).

Other than badge whoring/"hey look at me" shenanigans, I can't see the benefit.

Farming Base is just use less, im usually i high trophy offer like right now i got a -36, they do the th and then go further it gets easier for them because they are sure they atleast get 1* so less pressure and they attack calmly for 3*s. I'm currently at 2850 and takes a while to find a good offer, like i do max th9s with an offer 26+ so i 2* them and snipe is like impossible to find+ they give you 1 cup onlyQuote:

I got to champs 90% of the way before the new matchmaking and after the update getting to champs had become significantly easier to earn trophies.
If you boost with drags you can get from 3100-3200 easily, which beforehand was considered a gruelling spot to be in. Ignore the 1-10 trophy offers as they won't help unless for easy snipes (though be warned if it's trapped you'll be putting a lot of investment for that one trophy).
For your design there's really a lot of pros and cons for each setup. Placing your TH out may get you an easy shield an few cups lost, however you can get sniped by people 1-2 leagues below you and lose the same amount, as a 2-3 star by someone at a similar trophy level. If you place your TH inside/have it trapped, you risk getting wiped for a large amount of trophies but have an unlikely chance of winning a battle/having someone drop on you.
I personally recommend you place your gold storages/DE outside as the loot bonus should be sufficient in keeping them full. You'll come across a couple of farmers/droppers who will happily take your loot for a loss. Good luck.

Oops, did I just spill the beans that Titans is loaded?:facepalm: Oh well... oh and the DE bonus is impossible to beat by farming, my royals are down constantly, DE troops upgrading and I'm still often maxed out. Next?
All of the th8 bases that I found in Crystal 1 only give me like 4 trophies/100% .-. THEY NEED TO FIX THE MATCHMAKING :C
As of right now just got to champion league!! The struggle was hard lot of one trophies offers took forever to get those snipes... A few failed raids.. On townhall tens.. Big tip don't hit townhall tens unless you will get townhall on the outside...
Around 3150 I got two big trophy offers one from a weak townhall ten in champs the offer was for 49 I got 32! And then found a townhall eight for 22 trophies to star!
The push was long hard and tedious.. Put the time in and it will come.. I'll see how long I can stay up here. I know Titan is possible but I'm not going to push for it. I'll raid a few time so day to maintain my trophies if I get up higher awesome...

And don't even act like you find multiple raids like that every day without hours spent searching. Don't ♥♥, a ♥♥'er. You aren't farming anymore efficiently up there than the average TH9 in gold league.
....And in the event what you actually say seems to work for you, and your specific range/scenario.. you clearly aren't the average player. Most do not have the time/nor patience to push Titan as a TH9 let alone try to snipe/farm it for hours on end a day.
You are in the very small minority my friend, and to any non-hardcore farmer/raider I would say it is a lost cause and simply not worth the effort. Especially when you can max just as efficiently if not more efficiently in a much lower league.
Save Titan for us max TH10's that belong here....but if you want to give me free cups and loot that I don't need so be it ;).

In champs for a few days, but I'm getting hit hard for trophies I'm currenlty losing more than I have gained, but then again I'm not playing as much on the townhall eight account much... Haven't broken 3290 yet. sad face.

Lots of sniping and attacking bases that guarantee 1 star.
Masters to champion is crazy. Almost 99/100 bases are either th9 or th10.
Th9 will offer 1-2 cups for a win. Th10, less than 20 for a win.
Not sure why th8 get penalised so bad in champions league.
Th outside. Min 10 cups when I get sniped or +35 when I get wiped.
How is it fair that a th10 can gain 39 trophies by wiping two th lower. Crazy.
There are many th8 in champ league. Staying there will require a lot of determination.
But the loot bonus is worth it :)
I now build gowipe. Xbow from th9 n inferno from th10 are a killer.

I'm looking for snipes now (and always) The only time I hit townhall nines is if they have a big trophy offer.. I use 6 drags and 40 minions and three rage spells...and poison of course..
When I am maxed with elixer I bring more drags and less minions.. just have to choose the right townhall nine to hit, avoid the stronger air defenses, and attack away from queen.. tough .. the struggle is hard for th8
currently sitting at 3300 roughly getting hit every time i sign off...
If you can not with goho, it is very hard to get one with gowipe

We have about 4 th8s who have gone to champs in my clan(2 of them stay there to farm). And we are a back-to-back war clan. So its really not that incredibly hard. Master2 and Master1 are gonna take days to cover.
