Supercell Appreciation Thread!

After seeing a lot of dissapointed threads about Supercell I thinks it's time for a happy appreciative thread, I'll add in some things that I love about SC and I hope people can just pile in the love :P

I love how supercell:
- Add in great user-interface changes every update.
- Are trying to change
- Have this awesome forum for us
- Are really interactive with their players
- Are a really active company
- Listen to their customers (unlike what a lot of people think).
- Keeps me interested with every update
- Has created what I believe is the greatest, most addicting game on the App-Store.

There's plenty more things that come to mind but these are the things that I appreciate the most about SC.

I recently bought a galaxy S4. Its a good phone but I can't find a single game to play. As of now, my ipad is spare time user with Coc all the way. Thats called a heavy weight game that makes every other game fade.

I don't know but android is not the same as ios due to this one game

There are some games on android similiar to CoC but they look terrible :)

FOR SHAME SUPERCELL:

I have a number of issues with this game that is still the best game application but unfortunately I believe Supercell is failing to deal with customers with advice, which has led to this global outrage.

My biggest concern with the game is the matchmaking is terrible. My town hall is lvl 8, yet I ALWAYS get raided by lvl 6 troops with lvl 10 town hall. This is making it impossible for me to gain trophies as well, as I can never win.
Finally, everything now cost me 1 million plus coins to upgrade and usually over 4 days. This selfish act is what is making the 95% of us quit SUPERCELL!!! Your suggesting that people should simply come back every week to merely upgrade another thing! Of course people are fed up and losing interest.

In regards to new ideas, I would love to see clan battles, as alot of others have suggested in updates. I think an extra builders hut (that can be bought with gold) would be a good idea, and would go down well with intermediate gamers like myself, which you seem to be focusing on (based on your response to the change.org petition). You could even do a thing similar to Tom on hay day, where you could employ an extra builder for a few days, then he leaves.

My main issue currently with the game is definitely dark elixir. I thought the idea was great, but it is proving impossible for me to save enough elixir to get a hero. This then means I can't train dark troops, and the only way people will join my relatively new clan is if I give them a dragon (which ain't happening) or minions/hog riders. You should include dark elixir loot bonus from gold league if they have storage, as well as maybe even include a defence (similar to a hidden tesla) on the storage unit for added protection, so I don't lose all my weeks dark elixir savings from three raids.

In conclusion Supercell, I know you probably think this message is time that could be spent making millions but the fact is, you've done the hard part. You managed to get the gaming community hooked on what still is a great game, despite its many flaws, most of which have been caused purely because you wanted an extra buck, which is COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE. Now though, the challenge will be to entice more newcomers and keep improving the game for the ones who have been there since the beginning.

It's clear that only a select few will quit, and good on them for doing what none of us will do, simply because this addicting game is still one of the top gaming applications worldwide. You need to support the ones that made you the million dollar enterprise you are today. besides, I'm not sure why Hay Day I'm not sure why you've been able to keep the majority of Hay Day fans happy, in comparison to the audacity CoC gamers have displayed. By working in unison with your fans, the greatest results will come out In the end.

P.S MY CLAN (oven break) HAD EVERYONE KICKED OUT BY ONE OF THE ELDERS. THE ONLY PERSON THAT SHOULD BE CAPABLE OF KICKING IS THE LEADER. MY CLAN HAS LOST ABOUT 5000 POINTS THANKS TO HIM.

Looks like someone doesn't know how to use archers. Like seriously I'm pretty much annoyed about you saying that mortars are overpowered because they take out your archers in 2 seconds. Seriously man learn how to use them properly.

that you don't HAVE to buy things to get everything. in other games, you need the special resource e.g. gems, diamonds to get special types of buildings, but you can only buy the gems, diamonds etc via in app purchase.

I was an android user and coc made me switch. Im kind of glad i did because I've come to realize iPhones are awesome. I still prefer playing on the iPad tho

Hehe, your very first post was basically a thread in my thead :)
And about your thread, I have never seen someone complain about Mortars being OP, I'd be happy if my archers took two mortar shot to kill, but at level 5, it only takes one shot from a lvl 5/6 mortar. But this isn't a bad thing, it's not like it kills ALL your archers unless you bunch them together in a group, that's why you have to learn to spread them out. But on your other opinions, CoC is designed to be a game that takes time (unless you gem it), I actually enjoy Coc as being a game that takes a while to get everything, if you've played other similiar games where you can basically max out the whole game in a month, that is actually really boring. And onto your rage about the kicking, that is something that is quite annoying, I think the best thing would be to add into a feature where elders have to wait 5 minutes between kicking.

Although I agree I'm not the best player out there and after reading over my comment I guess you have a fair point but it is the fact I'm using level 4 troops going up against max level mortars in addition to other maxed out defences. the statement was in relation to the match making issue I brang up in the post as well. If you had read the rest you would understand. Besides, that was one of my least worries, I just wanted to put it out there.

I think the match making works well. When you are trophy hunting, the chance is bigger that you run into high level players. When you are farming, their is a bigger chance of hitting lower level players. As for the defence... if you have a strong base, low level players will skip you. Because of that, only higher level players will take the effort to make you blush. Sounds pretty normal to me? I would suggest you spend a lot of time and energy in your walls (they are expensive for a good reason!). This way, TH9/10 players will have trouble getting 100%, which means less trophies gone! Simple mathematics.

The costs of certain upgrades is "normal" as well. Why is this selfish? If I play an entire day, I can easily get 5 million gold. If all upgrades would be one or two days, everyone would be maxed out within weeks. What's the fun of that my friend? I am about to go to TH9. When I do, I'll make sure I have 6 million gold for the two x-bows. The upgrading time gives me the opportunity to have another builder to work on walls. A win-win situation in my eyes. Supercell came up with a good plan and executed it even better! Fist bump SC!

Totally agree with you! The game is Clash of Clans but what is there to clash? You cannot do a one-on-one battle or even some sort of small competition. I would love that you can challenge another clan, that all players can throw in a % of their gold, elixer or DE and the winner gets it all! Doesn't have to be anything with gems...

Dark Elixer is great indeed. I have to say... I'm having a hard to time getting DE but that is because I focuss on gold and elixer atm (ermm.. only gold actually!). I am farming in a 1.400 range and you won't get a lot of DE there. When I am trophy hunting and in the 2k range, DE is there to be taken... big time! So it depends what you are focussing on... just make sure you are focussing on something!

I totally agree with you there and I have no clue why Supercell isn't addressing this issue, which is requested by many. Why isn't there a co-leader functionality? Why can't you have two types of Elders... 1) the top elders who can invite players and kick players and 2) the elders who can only invite players, basically your recruiters. Should be pretty easy to implement and prevents a lot of chaos in a clan. Doesn't matter how loyal the players is... if he or she stops playing the game and think it's funny to make sure the clan does as well... oops!

So I agree, make a better "staff structure"!

Now u made this (useless) repley replay however u write it, in the time u made this u also coult attack, u said its hard to get 1 mil and it also takes 4 days, but why am i not complaining whe. A upgrade cost 4 mil amd the update time 15 days??

There's plenty more things that come to mind but these are the things that I appreciate the most about SC.

Preach!! Only game I've ever played where the developers listen to the customers. I seriously have no complaints about this game. In fact, my gaming days was over until I started playing COC. The new content keeps me on edge!

I appreciate SC for keeping me majorly entertained with 2 great games since last Oct. with minimal $$$ spent- less then a weekend at a bar. From what I've read about the company and seen as a Mod- they are doing their best to make both games as enjoyable as possible- while yes, employing awesome people- and paying their salaries. I still think each employee deserves a Lambourgini though- and will do my best effort at supporting that movement.

Now if we could just see more pics of the ball pit- that'd be great, why are they so secretive about the ball pit anyway? ;)

I have been saying this since I started playing!! $100 at bar hopping vs $20 on gems is the decision I face every weekend. 86.23% of the time I go with gems! Saved so much money buy playing this game. Oh I left out $15 bucks on a bottle of vodka for extra bravery while I play lol.

I've been playing CoC since August 2012; I made some pauses because the game was boring me, but recently I restarted playing again.

I'm just TH8 and haven't bought any gems so far because the game's playable even without gems; but these could really be useful, I really need a fourth and fifth builder's huts.

This game had so many updates, more than ten since I started playing, and that's what makes the game better and better, it's constantly getting new content !

Although there were some updates that I consider "bad" - for example on gob' maps when we finish a level one time, when we re-do that level we can't get the gold/elixir anymore. Well before we could get it as many times as we want - that game is one of the best I've played so far on iOS and I can't even say how many hours I played it (certainly more than 500 hours, maybe more than 1000 !)

So I enjoy playing the game and all these people getting angry because of updates should all be saying "Thank you, Supercell, for making this game.".

Ah- I forgot to add in the additional "bravery" alcohol fee, that does change things a bit. But still- keeps me outta trouble at home from bars. ;)

The SC Headquarters in beautiful Helsinki, Finland has a ball pit. My company only gives free coffee, 401k's and benefits and such, no ball pit. :(

Never thought about it that way! Lol, Coc has saved me a ton of money!

however, I must say, I thoroughly enjoy the drunk raid after coming home from the bar and of course the replay the next morning.

Before Coc, I only played sports games on consoles, ie FIFA, madden etc. So SC must be doing something right

Good to see a thread giving some love.

Clash of Clans is bloody awesome, very well balanced [despite some sooks who try to say otherwise], challenging and enjoyable.

Best iOS game by a long, long margin. Daylight until you find another as good.

Sure it could do with a few tweaks, but there are a milllion other threads for that [a majority with some really dumb ideas, a minority with some excellent ones]
