I am wondering why there is no Report button in the Clan chat?
It is in the Global chat.
We sometimes accept people into our clan only for this new person to start using foul language and being insulting and then leave the clan.
Not really sure what the purpose is of such childish behaviour but it would be nice if the Report button was available in clan chat so we can report this kind of behaviour.

It's called kicking them out. Reporting folks in global (enough people doing it anyway) earns them a ban from global chat for a day. Those kinds of people are spammers and don't want to be in your clan. Do everyone a favor and boot them as fast as possible.
Chat filter has been introduced in Clan Chat; feel free to use it. If you're still bothered, screenshot, then use support.
They don't usually stick around long enough for us to kick them. They spew their spam and leave.
Reporting should get their accounts locked for 3 days or a week so they cannot even log in. Or maybe even get their accounts deleted
I am guessing of course once you click Report someone is verifying the validity of the "Report" and action is taken or not taken.
Not really sure how COC would be able to check all the "Report" they probably get every day.
The function of the global report button is to "ban" (as in mute for 24 hours) a player if enough reports are taken, which is 7 last time I checked. I don't know this for sure, but I don't think an actual report is sent to supercell.
Following that, there is no real need for a report button in clan chat. The filter is your best option there, and kick them. If you have an idea about how to remove kicked users chat entries, you could make a post about it in the "Ideas and Feature requests" sub-forum.

Because you can control who is in your clan chat, don't like them? get rid of them? I'm sure there are clans out there that have a rule that every post must contain a swear word.
Global is public, clan chat is not therefore different rules apply.

Best bet is change Clan to Invite only. I recruit from Global but not til Ive read numeorus posts. If they curse in Global then theyll surely curse in Clan Chat and they arent getting an invite.
If they're no longer in your clan anymore, what do you care? Move on. It's a game. If your psyche is shattered over it, you probably shouldn't be playing an online game.
Reporting members of your own clan? That would defeat the purpose of this game. Mate, there's something called loyalty, even those guys in jail know this concept.
This will suck.
many clans might just report those who leave, rather than those who actually are abusive. And a troll or trolls might just report randoms (False reprting happens in global but banning from the game unfairly is way worse and annoying)
What is anyone going to look into though? The entire point of global report is for people being "offensive". Clans are free to allow any kind of offensive chat they want.Quote:
