Th8 and loot is terrible for me too, currently at 1600trophies, lot of ppl on now since its summer vacation :/
Loot is good for me just keep looking im at 1500 trophies th 9

im around 1200 trophies at th7. I don't fid loot that easily, I usually have to spend 20K-50K trying to find a base with at least 100K of each resource. Usually only find bases with 30K or 40K of each resource.
TH8 at 1300, finding 150-300 K gold with 10-20 searches
TH9, no issues with 1400-1500, farmed about 7m today...
