Upgrade Level 7 Walls With Elixir - Reasons Included

​STOP THE GRIND FOR GOLD AT TH8

Now I know many have already posted this idea, but I would like to elaborate on why it would be beneficial to the game. As an early Town Hall 8 I rushed to collect tons of elixir and get the troop upgrades as fast as possible. But, near the end of my time as a TH8 I found I had no way to spend my elixir. The only thing I could spend elixir on was troops as I grinded for my level 8 walls. It got so bad that I almost stopped playing, it was an endless cycle of attacking, upgrading my walls for 0 XP, and repeating. I'm sure I am not the only one who had this elixir overflow, and that's why I think it would improve the game.

Your excess elixir feeds the TH9 and TH10 above you.

When elixir for walls became a reality, level 8 was upgradable by Elixir. It was so terrible as a TH9, i couldn't find anyone with elixir and couldn't build armies anymore.

Elixir dried up that much, and with TH9 not having any, the TH10 certainly couldn't get any.

They reverted it to level 9 for elixir and it's been a decent balance.

When you reach th9, you'll be glad of it.

Sorry, but they're not going to add something back into the game that was already removed for causing too many problems.

If you've run out of things to spend your elixir on at TH8, you always have the option of upgrading to TH9 so you can spend all that elixir. Or you can stay at TH8 to enjoy the lower loot penalties and protections. But you can't have both.

How about a compromise? How about for TH8 only, that once all Elixer upgrades and Elixer troop and spell research has been completed, then and only then will Level 8 walls be available via Elixer?

I know it's a little convoluted. It simply recognizes the reality that toward the (lengthy) end of TH8 there isn't much to do with Elixer. Most of the TH8's will continue to stockpile Elixer to fund the economy. It's just that last part that gets a little boost.


Yes, it's wonky. But so is the imbalance in the amount of resources demanded for maxing out TH8.

Just a thought trying to help a little without giving away too much.

And no, I did not overlook that this request was about level 7 walls. But hells-no to that. 200k is a drop in the ocean.

What I don't get is why? Can't th9&10 raid off each other? If there is no elixer at th9&10 then they should take the wall upgrades with elixer away there too. Im th8 i raid on th8.

My walls at th8 are done. Been done for a while. I did a few a day just because I wanted them done. Now I'm finishing my last defense upgrades. Nothing to use elixer for excepte donate like hell. Sitting at maxed all the time. I used to put it outside beside my th but the damn th9&10s would still do a full on raid, so no more of that.

First, th9 and 10's do feed off each other and in great quantities. When things start to cost 6 million and youR storage exposure is 350 to 400k you can bet that they do.

However, there is the big fish issue as well. All TH's feed well off the TH immediately below them.

Everyone can execute a strategy to mitigate their exposure. Most sensible folks don't accumulate large quantities of all three resources. TH8's can do lots of things to get by. I maxed TH8 a few months ago before becoming TH9 and can say from experience that it's not as big a deal as people are making it out to be. 500k in TH8 gold (the cost of a level 8 wall) only has 90k exposure to a TH9 raid. It can be overcome.

Then just upgrade to TH9. Walls are overrated anyway.

I don't like not being able to do anything my elixir either, but it supplies the TH9s above us, like people said above.

Just a tip:
When that happened to me, I just spent my elixer on loonion. I was averaging 150 - 200k gold per raid before I upgraded to TH9.
