TH8.75 Questions

I'm not at TH9 yet, but I'm doing 8.75 when I get there.
TH8.75 is where you build ALL the new stuff EXCEPT X-Bows, unlike 8.5 where you build NO new defense.

Anyway my questions are:
If TH8.75 still gets me matched with well progressed TH9s, should I build my X-Bows ASAP?
What is the best Army Composition for taking on well progressed TH9s?
When would I build my X-Bows?
As soon as I build my X-Bows, would it be smart to upgrade to level 3 (TH9 MAX) ASAP?

Non war related:
Should I get level 6 Giants for farming then war troops or get all level 6 GiBarch THEN war troops?
What should be my main troops to upgrade in lab?

Jm2c, this is what I did and it has worked pretty well, first I did lab, spell factory, and camps, then cc and new walls and caught them up to skulls. Get aq and push her to lvl 10 while doing war troops. I did max hogs , then loons and hounds, and then golems, witches and valks but that is personal preference. Built 4th Tesla and ad and caught them up. Build 1 bow and max it before you build the 2nd. Maxed ad and Tesla first, then mortars and cannons. I still haven't built my 4th wiz tower or 6th arch tower or upgraded my existing ones. Everything else is maxed. Currently around 125 Lego and 125 lava walls and heros 20/20. My matchups in war are generally cake walks but I can hit max th9's and 9.5's. IMO if you can hog, laloon, and valk you can take down most th9's. I recommend working on 1 strategy at a time. I am probe going to start doing my existing at and wiz 1 at a time, but I am not building the last until my lavas are done. Hth

Since it sounds like you're into war, I'd say wait on x-bows until you get a true TH 9 offense. As a general rule, I think you should be able to three star at least your own base, so just make sure you upgrade offense before defense and your matchups shouldn't be too bad.
If you use GiBarch, Giants are a HUGE upgrade. I did them first thing and do not regret it one bit.

If you're doing the 8.5 or whatever route you want to number it then you're obviously war focused. In that case I suggest maxing your important war troops first. I would do hogs/loons first before you do farming troops.

1)It all depends on your clan. I'm doing 8.5 with mostly TH7 defence levels but still I get matched with early Th9s with X-bows. It reduces your overall clan weight. So if your clan doesn't have some .5s, a single one won't make much of a difference. So you should build your X-bows right ahead.

2)Lavaloon can be a decent strategy to take on good Th9s. Doesn't require heroes a lot. Try to get lava hounds to level 2 & loons to 6 asap.

3)I would probably build them after I max all my defences if I'm going the .5 route.

4)Definitely. No point keeping them at low levels.

5)Level 6 giants help a lot to crack the storages of Th8s a lot. So I would recommend doing it first. But if you can raid well enough with lvl5 barch then go right ahead & max war troops first.

Just get your war troops and offense going, then upgrade your xbows etc. You just want to make sure you don't have to hit decent th9s with a th8 offense. Make sure you can get solid two and some three stars before you max out your defenses. I'm a th10 and still have gold cannons and mortars. Point defenses/mortars are a waste in war and just add war weight. Walls, heroes are what really separate you

I am a big fan of level 3 xbows though. Nothing helps more than those at th9.

Im doing 8.5 and i got matched with a newbie th9 and a maxed th8, (only have been in 2 wars as 8.5), my first lab upgrade was hogs to L5, as it is my main war attack... I recommend u to do 1 war troop then 1 farming troop then 1 war troop etc.. That way you will be able to farm and war as th9

if you're up against a war clan or a decent war clan who knows how to 3star....golden cannons wouldn't be able to destroy max golems in time and the opponent or attacker would have a high chance to execute his AD take down / queen take down and cc take down with ease...then destroy the remaining half with laloon...

or it can be hogs...applying the same principle but with dual gbomb take down first instead of AD...anyway to make it short...base will not have enough dps for those kind of attacks.

I'm a TH9.5 and gets match ups like this...it produces an easy 3s...
