TH9 development - opinion (good)?

Hey guys,

I am playing this game for around 10 months now. I am a level 113 and I have been a TH9 for 2 months and a half. I maxed air defenses + all teslas to level 7, I left other defenses at a TH8 level (on purpose). I have 160 legos and 90 skulls and my heroes are about to go to L17 (BK) and L15 (AQ). I am not focusing on defenses too much because it brings up tougher wars. My war troops are: golems L4, witches L2, lava hound L2, balloons L6, dragons L4... So basically maxed gowiwi, gowipe, lavaloonion and dragon. After i get all 250/250 legos, i am gonna start doing defenses to max them out. Then i am resuming walls to lava. And i try to keep upgrading heroes as much as possible. Recently i just dropped from Champion3 to Gold3 and i really love this league, loot is amazing, all you need to do is find when's the best time for raiding.

I am wondering if everything is going well or if I should do something differently than this? It would be good if you share your experience and we can discuss it :) Also, what's your strategies for farming lava walls, like 2/day or...?

Here you go guys, I am back with an UPDATE of my progress: [17th August]
-HEROES: i am about to start them to 18/16 (i already have enough dark elixir)
-WALLS: full set of lego walls, 250/250

How did I farm walls? I hit champion as a TH8 and got 2000 gems. I didn't really spend them much, so I decided that I could use some of them for boosting. I was boosting 2 barracks for 20 gems in the evening before bedtime, that's when the loot is best for me. I managed to grab plenty of gold and elixir with barch, but also a lot of dark elixir. It wasn't that hard tbh. I really like my base now, starting to look really good and strong :)

Now that I maxed all of my lego walls, I am gonna focus on dark elixir to keep heroes upgrading, although I will be busy next month which means I won't have as much time as before. And all the extra gold+elixir that I get, I am thinking about spending it on rest of the defenses + few buildings left (dark barracks, etc.) to max out everything except lava walls and heroes. So after all my defenses are done/maxed, I would resume doing walls. What do you guys think that I should do? Let me know with the replies.

Its called Strategy. The last post I read by you was unnecessary too.

Anyways It looks like youre on the right track. Im a new th9 and I'd probably do it this way too.
What war comp did you decide to upgrade first?

Yeah bro very nice progress keep it up:thumbsup: And as for lavas I'm doing 2 per day at TH10 but I think you might be able to do atleast 4 per day at TH9 if you are fairly active.

I decided to go with the golems to L3, then witches to L2. I must admit having those 2 unlocked right at the beginning was the best thing for me, I could easily wreck plenty of bases with a gowiwi, or just go for a secure 2star with gowipe. Witches L2 are amazing. My intention was to unlock lavaloonion right away but after the 2nd air sweeper was introduced along with L4 dragons dropping to TH9, i did dragons first, for war CC donations.

Thanks buddy, it means a lot to read such things! I am about to become a bit more inactive, therefore I'll (try to) stick to 2 lavas per day after my defenses are all maxed. My intention is to get full lava before the TH10, I don't want to leave them for later, I enjoy getting huge loot from TH8s without the loot penalty (10% only).

Nice! I was gonna unlock lavaloonion, but a lot of my th10s are saying witches are great at th9. Maybe I'll do it in this order instead! Or maybe Hogs the GoHo strat seems to be very effective! Anyways Good luckkk!
Edit: you mentioned the "best time" when time do you usually farm then?

I have max th9 troops except hogs.
You can work on hogs too.
I Assume all of your elixir upgrades are done.
for defenses you are right. first do ground and air defenses then do grounds. mortars have the least priority for wars.

I live in Europe and the best time for me to raid is before i go to bed (11pm-1am, that would be 5pm-7pm New York) and as soon as I wake up (9am-11am). Ofcourse you can get loot during the day aswell, obviously, but I don't bother too much because it takes me too much "nexting" so I am not as effective, and I rather to other things during the day (in real life and clan commitments aswell, donations or war attacks, for example, etc.)

Yes, witches are one of the best things at TH9, your friends are correct.

No, my elixir upgrades aren't even nearly done. I am a TH9 for only 2 months and a half, and only golems + witches took me nearly a month and a half to upgrade them (12+14+10).

As for the defences, my teslas and air defenses are maxed, after walls are full lego I am going in this order:
1. archer towers, 2. cannons, 3. wizard towers, 4. mortars, 5. air sweeper.
Xbows are saved for the end of TH9, they have a big impact in war matchups.

I say u have done exactly wats in my mind now after i have almost maxed th9. I did all troops lavas queen also. King is going to lvl 21. He is the only thing remaining for me to max th9 100%.
i say that u did good cuz of .....
wen i upgraded to th9 i started on defences directly, my biulders wer not getting time to sleep untill i finished all the defences. By that time i had finished my defences i also finished all legos and did heroes to 15/15. I concentrated completly on resourses. At that time which was a big mistake
but the biggest mistake i did again was that after that again i focused on resourses for the lava walls, even cam down to silver for that. My aim was to complete th9 100% from first. So wen i finished lava walls my heroes wer 25/17. That means 18 more levels for heroes combined. i.e. More than 4 months may be. I regret it now. Cuz my storages are full all the time. Keep in mind i am focusing soley on de. But still storages full(from wer?. I dont knw) . It comes along automatically.
So moral of the story lol is. Concentrate on de for ur heroes. Keep ur heroes down as much as u can. Dont worry if ur biulder is going to be free from a defence and u think that u have to collect gold for it. Just ignore it. The time consumed on maxing heroes is more than enough to max th9 defences five times.
