I definitely agree with this and somehow I forgot to mention this on my post. If you get a dragon, pekka or golem then I think it's definitely okay and even just common courtesy to say thank you. Those are 30/45 minutes that someone just spend on that troop, the least one may do is thank them which I always do if I receive one.

Agreed, clans are to receive and donate troops. The friendship and banter that goes on is just something that comes along with it.

Well honestly i'm the kind of person that says thnx for each and every donation by name, and if the donation is from several ppl i wait till donation is completed and thank them all by name in one chat message, and i do like when i'm thanked by name as well, most of my clan members do the same.

It dont see it as spamming, as a matter of fact its a good way to start many conversations.

I only thank people if they specially cook wizards for me. Saying TY for every archer received is just overkill...I'll thank people by giving them level 6 archers when they want their CC filled.

I say "thxs" or "ty" or "yw" or "np" whenever im not in a rush or i feel like it and i dont think it really matters

No worries, to each their own. But I do remember waiting for everyone to finish donating before thanking everyone. Before that I would thank everyone individually after every donation! lol too much if you ask me. Indeed, it is a good conversation start, "Thanks [insert name], so how the little one's doing?".

I found a lot of people don't like wizards in their castle, even level 5 :eek: I personally don't mind them but i guess that's a discussion for another thread.

Good post - never really thought that much into it.

I think a simple "ty" for big troops or special request are good for the clan. Usually in that case there is only one "ty" and one "yw," so it doesn't eat into the chat.

However. I believe it is a clans responsibility to donate - you're in a clan for a reason. If I'm giving archers I don't expect a ty because that's the default troop. You usually aren't told good job, for doing exactly what your supposed to do and not going above any beyond.

Sometimes at the end of the day where I requested much more than normal, I do a blanket thanks to everyone for all the help today. Just being courteous, it's probably not needed, but after requesting a ton and them being filled within seconds, one ty doesn't hurt.

I was in a clan where they stipulated you not only had to thank someone for every troop but you had to address them by name.

Hoooooly ♥♥♥♥ that was painful. It was a bunch of 40 year olds and up so i guess thats where that came from but still.

I am one of the few who always requests giants, so when I get 4 lvl6 giants from a clan mate, I am happy to thank them.....

Having to say Ty after each donation gets long winded...thank them by donating back...
