Wait.. I'm confused.

So. I'm going to tell you a story, while at the same time asking a question.
(Not true story lol)

Once upon a time there was a guy named Billy.
He just joined forums, thinking he had a brilliant idea.
But he didn't know that it was requested way too many times.
He got replies saying "use the search! If there's already a thread on your idea, reply to it."
So he got another idea and searched first.
He found a thread that was the same idea as his (Posted 2014)
So then he replied to it and everyone got mad at him for bumping an old thread.

Billy was so confused.

That happens all the time. Mods are wierd

I think most of the time it's because it is posted over and over in a short time period. Example, poison spell posts now.

All the earthquake spell questions were hilarious
And they still pop up from time to time

It's a form of control. And since arguing with someone with authority is a fallacy of reasoning and a waste of time, it's best just to let it remain a mystery.
To start a new thread on an old subject and get told you're an idiot or to reply to a buried, dead thread and get called an idiot.
