I think the clan suggestions are either based on your level, base strength, or trophy level...or maybe all 3.
I'm lvl130, near max th10 around 2700 trophies. The clans suggested to me are mostly filled with people around the same trophy range as me. and almost always have 40+ members.
Does anyone have any info on suggested clans?
It would be interesting to see what a TH8 in champs has suggested to them
I think it is rotation. We had a period last week where we had 9 or 10 requests to join per minute for 5 minutes until we closed the clan (usually 1 or 2 per week). I think it was our turn to be at the top of the list of suggested clans.

Same thing happened to my former clan a while back. I doubt it's completely random though. My guess is that you first need to reach certain criteria as determined by SC, and then you're put into the mix of suggested clans. Ours never seemed to go away though until we kicked a large number of inactive members a few months later. Every time we would reach around 48 members, the join requests would stop. The minute someone would leave, a new join request would appear. It's as though there's a ceiling to when you'll appear in the suggested clan list, and then there's a floor, below which you'll never appear in the list again, at least until you meet the criteria again. If I recall correctly, we only had between 12-17 members for just about a year, and then within an hour or so one evening, we grew to 45-50 members. At the time, I assumed another clan merged with us for whatever reason but when I posed the question to some of the new members, they just said they picked us from a "list".Quote:

I haven't been clanless long enough to really look at the list but I don't think it included any smaller inactive clans, and I'm sure SC wouldn't want to suggest a clan like that.
PS: Before the surge of new members. we were all TH 7 & 8's with one TH9 and the new members were mostly noobs with low XP, trophy and TH levels, so it didn't seem like we were being matched with similar clashers.
When I was in a Req&Go Clan, I guarantee we were always on the list. I think to get on the list you need to have about 35+ members and make sure the settings are set to "Anyone can join." Worked every time for the Req&Go!
