Now, I know pushing to Champs as a Th9 isn't a big deal & it's not that hard but since this is my second time pushing, I'm pretty excited about it. Though, till now, it has turned out to be way easier than I thought! The main reason for this thread
My Previous Push to Masters!
As a new Th9 with Lvl 5 troops & 200 army space but with Lvl 2 AQ, I pushed to Masters League a few months back & it was damn hard! Maybe because I was using weak troops I guess but still, it was hard. Using Barch I got till 2400 Trophies & then started losing. Although I lost a few attacks while making my way to 2400, the number of my loses started increasing & having a Farming base, I would always lose trophies. Then, finally, using Lvl 1 Hogs :unsure: , I got till 2571 & still lost a couple of times in between. In the end, being able to revenge a Th7 with Mass Hogs, I got to Masters league, got my gems, bought the 5th builder & came back down.
August!
Waiting for August to arrive, I was ready to try for Champs now! I am a mid Th9 with Lvl 10 AQ now.
Let's Push!
Barching gets me only 1 star, so I shifted to GiBarch, the army I always use now. After getting to Crystal, I started using Mass Hogs [Lvl 5 this time :p ] & 3 starring Th8s & Th9s. Attacking only 2-3 times a day, very slowly, I got to Masters League without losing a single attack & it was a piece of cake!
Using Resources!
All my builders free! But Lab still working! I would use all the extra Gold to upgrade walls to Lvl 8 & Elixir to get them to lvl 9. Being a rusher, i still have Lvl 7 walls... which is a big thing! I got to Th9 with all Pink walls :D Having Loads of DE, I would use Mass Hogs but that wasn't enough because due to the boost, my De kept increasing daily. So, I had to use it to get my Minions to 5!
Got to Masters again!
Now, after getting into Masters again, I was welcomed by a really nice Th8 attacker, giving me extra 20 trophies to help me with my push. Along the way, I got attacked by Th9s; which I most of the times defended! I also got attacked by Th10s & luckily, won! It's funny how some people can lose against Mid th9s with Maxed troops! It's funny how about 6 players gave me trophies while lowering their own. I felt so damn lucky! :smirk:

What army to use for pushing?
Since my BK takes 58 minutes to regenerate health & AQ takes 48 minutes, I wanted an army that took 50-55 minutes to train & used only 2 spells so that I can boost & get all of them together in the raid! I ended up deciding I'll go with GiWi with 2 spells.
Pushing!
Today, I started my push from Masters from 2638 & got to 2787 & then lost 23 trophies from the same guy from whom I won 23 trophies. Using GiWi against Th9s can easily give about 2 stars & also from Th10s who have their Ths at the corner of the base. ;) I made 8 attacks out of which 2 went wrong & I ended up only getting the Townhall & a single star or I would've been into Masters 2 :(
Oh! Wait! I just got attacked just when I wrote the above sentence & now, I'm in Masters 2... Yay! XD
Anyways, I got attacked by a Th9 who used GiWiHe & got 2 stars. That helped me to learn how to attack my own base with GiWi. Fortuantely, I ended up finding a good amount of trophy offering base with the same base design as me but was a base with Maxed defenses as a Th9. Still, I managed to pull off 2 stars getting 20+ trophies.
In Masters Leagues, my Mid Th9 defended about 6 times against Th9s & Th10s.
I've been attacked by different compositions & defended against some of them & failed against some. Although the base design, IMO, was made to defend against Barch but it's working pretty well! Even when I fail, I don't lose too many trophies in most attacks.

The Kind of bases I found in Masters 3 while raiding weren't that strong. Or at least, they were weak enough to give me 2 stars although almost no loot was offered.

As typing & creating this thread, for the first time, I got attacked & lost with 3 stars! :( Fortunately, where some people were able to take 20+ trophies from me with 2 stars, this Maxed Th9 with a GoWiWi took only 16 trophies from his 3 stars. Before his attack, I was attacked by GiWiPe from a Th9 who took out my Heroes making the attack for the next attacker, easier. :unsure:
I will update this thread later & I hope I will be of some help to others who are currently trying to push to Champs as Th9s.

DAY 2 WITH PUSHING!!!
So, on day 2 of pushing, I received about 2 defenses & lost 4 defenses but not much trophies. In fact, the amount of trophies I lost from defenses is less than the ones I won from those 2 defenses. It's pretty weird how Th10s with maxed troops can lose against you.

Boosting the barracks again like before, I ended up making only 79 trophies this time whereas the last time I boosted, I made about 180. This is because, as soon as I ended up in Masters 2, especially above 2900, there seem to be almost no sign of good Th9s offering 25+ trophies. Still, wasting my time & nexting, I found a few worth attacking & made a few trophies.
Today was the first time when I lost an attack, losing about -15 trophies to a maxed Th9 who I thought I could 2 star but his AQ, standing way across, on the other side, assassinated my troops & I ended up on a 37% :unsure: . There was another attack I was about to fail which I didn't because I used my extra Heal spell on my 2 wizards to help them take out the Th. :straightface:
In the end, I was lucky enough to get 2 starred by a maxed Th9 who only took 4 trophies from me.
At the end of the day,
Attacks won: Too lazy to count
Attacks Lost: 1
Defenses won: 2 worth 46 trophies
Defenses lost: 5 worth 51 trophies
What did I learn?
Attack from the AQ side & take her out first!!!
Stop looking for Th9s now & attack Th10s for a single star!!! Though, I've been able to find exceptional Th9 bases giving 30-40 trophies.... after 30+ nexts...
Balloonion isn't the only fast training army to work up here till Masters 2
& finally, even maxed Th9s can be 2 starred with GiWi ;)
DAY 3 WITH PUSHING!!!
This was the worst day ever! At the stat of the pushing, I was at 2990. I boosted my barracks & started searching. All I could find were Th10s & only found one Th9 who I two starred to get 18 trophies & made it to 3055. Then, I lost an attack losing -18 trophies & finally, having lose my boost, I could only make one more attack & after that, I was supposed to be shielded which took away my trophies again.

In the end, I was at 3039. Unfortunately, by the time my shield was about to expire, I was asleep. :facepalm: I lost more trophies that way which made me wanna quit the Push! :mad: But I didn't :p

In the End, I realized that there's no way to get more defensive trophies. So, I switched to a farming base & losing only 1 star now.
