Ridiculous Damage

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the power of defense to the power of offense. Looks like CoC just keeps adding stuff to make more money with little consideration for the gamer's experience.

Some issues I see:
-I can potentially drop 240 maxed out archers or barbarians and 1 mortar can kill them all. That is plain ridiculous. The splash damage should be limited to affect 10 attackers or something like that.
-3 crossbows now? Are you crazy? Crossbows are incredibly powerful as it is and yet you add another. I acknowledge that you did open up the camps for a total of 20 more attack spots but even if I were to attack with 20 more units, 1 crossbow can take them out in seconds. Not to mention you threw in another Inferno tower..
-I have reached over rank 2100 and still find it difficult to attack anyone to get enough gold/elixir to pay for the advanced troops that can attack and succeed with higher level defenses. Even if I use a lvl 3 dragon it is wasted in seconds by 1 decent level anti air unit. I can throw a few maxed healers out but the die fast and can't seem to heal themselves. I seen them spam heals on a wizard tower that is being attacked while they get pelted by defenses. The should be smart enough to throw heals on themselves.
-AI needs some help. I consistently see the attacking units do stupid stuff like run past an opening in a wall and run to an unopened part only to stand there and get wasted by defensive units. I watched my lvl 5 archer queen attack an elixir storage, skip past the archer tower that was raining on the archer queen and start attacking the gold storage beyond the archer tower. She literally skipped over the thing killing her for no apparent reason.

Those are my big issues with the game and most likely the reason I will stop playing CoC.

Yes, i agree with most of the things you are saying. They are all big problems but i dont know about raiding AI. They are sometimes dumb, we have to get used to them i guess.

Change your attack strategy! Maxed out defenses still lose to a good attack. Use golems/Giants to distract xbows and Mortars. Quit complaining and learn some new attacks. =)
This last update has been awesome. Finally gave defenses a fighting chance.

Even though you were rude, ill still help. Look for the weak spots in their base and attack there. No base is perfect even with tons of defense. So look for the weak spots.

A nice reply. But lol nope didn't give defences a chance. Just just upped the spells and the walls for the top 200 gemmers. Nothing much for most of us defence wise.

And as much as I agree that this game is very lopsided in terms of offence I think the OP needs to re-evulate his strategy. And formulate a new plan of attack.

You really need to change your attack strategy, or you are at too high of a trophy range. Invest in troop upgrades and learn to quickly decipher the opponents weak and strong points. Use everything you can tell at first to your advantage. Also read Sun Tzu's Art of war (which won't help in any way.) :D

Simple. So that everyone gets the message that this sort of behaviour isn't tolerated. There's been too much of it going on lately, and it's unacceptable.

I totally i agree i always l always lose when I attack peeps unless i drop my trophies but im tryin to gain trophies so this is true SC always add lots to the defense and only a few troop upgrades

I see you're new to the forums or maybe you were ban before and you made a new account. Either way, if you keep this attitude up I'm sure you'll get banned fairly soon.

Seems like you need more of a strategy in your attacks. Going for the old archer and barb rush just isn't going to do it at 2100 trophies anymore. Need to plan things out. Learn some new things.

To the OP: if you know that dropping all your troops in one spot will get them all killed in one shot by a mortar, then why do that? Most people playing this game comprehend and adjust attack strategies if one method of attacking is not successful such as dropping a bunch of troops in one spot within range of a mortar or other splash effect defensive unit causes immediate lost of those troops. When someone is trying to help you and you call them an idiot, I have to wonder who the idiot really is.

I would if I could, but unfortunatly that is extremely rare or non existent at my cup range of 3700. The 2100 range is a different story. Plenty of loot down there, you just need to know how to attack and get it. ;)

Disagree. I'm a TH7 and have totally smashed a few TH9 & TH10s before, who are supposedly 'stronger'. Got up around 1,900 trophies with no problems.

You just need to pick your targets better and change your tactics to suit that trophy level.

The balance is fine.

So...

In this thread, there is one person complaining that defense is overpowered, one person complaining that offense is overpowered, and a bunch of people telling them to chill.

Sounds like the balance is pretty good!

Make sure you upgrade your gold mines too!

Just change your attack plan. Any castle can be destroyed if you use the waiting time to PLAN IT OUT.

I think archer queen favourite target are resources

1) don't send out all your squishy troops at once, use actual strategy and use them right, if used right, you would win for sure.
2) xbows do just about the same damage as cannons and archers, just have much more range and they can only hit single units.....
3) use your troops more wisely, I'm in the 2400 with using only barbs and archers....

You are obvoiusly a th10 who rushed it,got xbows and stuff,rose to 2100, and is now stuck with level 2 goblins and level 3 cannons! People are pointing out the FLAWS of your ATTACK STRATEGY. And for someone who hasn't even been here a week you seem to be mouthing off a lot!

I will agree to the fact that inferno towers are borderline unbearable. Two inferno towers = bye bye any high HP troop that creates the core of your main attack strategy. Even worse at lvl 2.
I can't exactly send in a swarm of lvl 1 troops as distractions either as mortars and wiz towers will destroy them just as quickly as ITs destroy my pekkas and drags.
