My clan is level 4 soon to be 5. We have had long winning streaks and long losing streaks. Let's say four out of 5 losses we'll lose by 5 points or less. So we're not far off i feel from being really good.
I was just wondering if there are some tricks to increasing your chances for the war search. Also, what kind of attacks do you recommend for th8+ attackers. Like what troops would you use for certain bases.

Are you guys aiming for 2 or 3 stars? Your whole clan needs to have the right mentality and the willingness to improve and better yourselves.
You need to be researching attack strategies, base design fundamentals, etc.
There are many strategies to be used on bases, but you really can' just go in thinking "Oh we're gonna use X strategy every war because it's good." You need to shape your attack to the base you're attacking, and the ability to do this comes with knowledge.

Biggest thing, if people don't help with gaining stars as is they only attack bases that have been attacked, replace them with dummy accounts to help draw easier teams. Such as rushed th9's that usually get 3 starred, ditch them and put in a lvl 10 as they will benefit you just as much as the th9. In essence you only need 5 people out of 10 to attack in a 10v10 war to secure the win. So have 5 good accounts and 5 dummies and the teams you pull generally have their weight spread out over all 10 instead of your weight all in the top 5. Clan I am in, Goon Platoon, is nearing 123 wins following this strategy.
