How do you upgrade barracks?

I waited till I was on vacation or couldn't play for a few days to upgrade them. I also did them as early as possible (TH 8) since I knew I would need to farm non stop at TH 9+

If you're really worried about the effect on farming then do one at a time. But personally I would just do them all at once, backtoback, and get it over with as fast as possible.

Upgrading barracks, or collectors is a pain. I always start with them when I first get to a new town hall level.

Rather than do it one at a time (e.g. 6 + 6 + 9 =21 days), suck it up and do all simultaneously (9 days only). Once and for all.
At least the major pain is 6 days barracks & additional 3 days DB. Else minor pain for 21 days.

I did mine in double combination continuously.

Just upgrade them all at the same time and get it over with. Better to do this during vacation or a busy week

Glad I did mine at th8. And I did it for this exact reason. Then I shouldn't focus on that at th9/th10.

Assuming you have 4 builders, this is how I did it. 1 builder on defence, 1 builder on barracks, 1 on non-defence (collectors/spell factory/lab) 1 for walls. If you have 5 builders, add a hero to the equation (but always have 1 free for walls and obstacles)

I did them one at a time at TH8.
