Hey there!
In next 6 days, my th will be done upgrading. I wanted to ask that what should I upgrade first at th9 in defense? Should I first get my xbows to level 3 or do splash damage defenses first? Please don't suggest me for doing Th 8.5, I don't care about war.
Can someone tell?
Get Xbows, Upgrade Lab & Spell Factory, Get AQ!
Lvl 1 Xbows > Wiz Twrs > Lvl 2 Xbows > Canons > Teslas > Archer Twrs > Mortars > ADs > Xbows Lvl 3
Get level one xbows, then focus on splash damage (mortars and wiz). Xbows are scary looking to th8s who haven't attacked them very often and will cause them to skip your base.
I did the xbows and new defenses to th8 level first. At this point I focused on offense, while upgrading cheapest defense first mainly.
Order for me was:
Xbow 1> teslas> mortars> cannons> ADs> xbows to 3> wiz towers> archer towers> sweeper was mixed in.
Offense minus several troop upgrades finished around the time xbows went to 3. Probably not the best order, but it worked good for me.
Don't forget the Clan Castle!
I would do camps, traps, and troop upgrades!

This is a perfect start to TH9. Before you tie up your last builder make sure to get the extra walls out on base and leveled up as much as you can. If you stock up on DE you could have L2 queen within 12 hours of TH9 :) After the first wave of upgrades are complete start working on the extra defense buildings and get them leveled up.
L6 DE drills help a lot in getting the amount of DE you will need for those higher level dark troops and heros. The earlier you get those maxed out the better.

I'm going to go the 8.5 route! Which basically means maxing offensive potential but not defence.
