I've been putting a lot of emphasis on everyone getting 3 stars. I'd still like everyone to at least know how to do 3 star attack if we need an extra star, but Its not for everyone I guess. Golem pathing has been our biggest problem in wars, wizards get killed off quickly, something we will have to work on but I'm hoping youtube videos can help us there. Thanks for the response very informative, I'll be talking to my leader seeing how he wants to go about changing up the war plan.

You only need to get 3 or 4 guys in your clan who can do 3 star attacks, then those who gowipe will feel like they arent getting good results. That should see the rest gradually move to 3 star attack strategies.

I assume you are talking about th9 by the way. I havent read everything in the post, sorry.

With lvl 3 pekkas and lvl 2 golems all th8s can be 3 starred with gowipe if done right.the problem is a lot of gowipers train up the same troop combo every attack,send them in anyhow and hope for the best.
Some bases may need more pekkas,1 less golem or more wiz.u still have 2 be base specific even with gowipe.

It's th9 where u really have to get creative or you will just plod along picking up 2 stars on every base.

Yeah, long posts get very tedious, but most of my clan is th8. We only have a handful of th9s, and they constantly switch out because of hero upgrades. I'm mostly talking about th8 gowipe, I don't know how necessary scouting is at the lower townhall levels so I don't put much stock in gowipe when hogs just overpower a base. It does help to know where those double giant bombs are though. Once our th8s start moving up to 9 I'm hoping they switch to some hybrid attacks, until then I'd like to see more hoggers because its just me at the moment.

Would you recommend using earthquake spells on bases with lots of compartments or moats, or is that just a bit to expensive?

Oh th8. Wow, in that case they should all be doing 3 star attacks. Our main clan does not have th8s, but in our feeder clan we have a lot of th8, and even though that clan is just a fun clan we only 3 star th8s. Everyone uses hogs and dragons mostly at th8.

But yeah I think the same thing applies as we saw in our main clan about 6 months ago. We recruited three or four th9s who were 3 star attackers, most of our th9s did gowiwi and although we did get a fair few 3 stars with it, it was usually our th10s cleaning up th9 for 3 stars. Once they saw the new th9s getting 3 stars and also getting the praise that came with that, they all wanted to learn the 3 star strats. Now we have the same members as then, but they all use goho and golaloon attacks, and if bases ar not set up well we often 3 star all the th9s without our th10s needing to intervene.

I do think the way to go is to try and get in a few members who can 3 star, then the others will feel they arent contributing and will want to learn. Then you can gradually get them practicing attacks in multi and in wars that look easy wins.

I'm glad you see where I'm coming from and I'm going to keep doing my 3 star attacks. Hopefully what happened to your clan happens to mine, and we turn into a solid offensive clan. Good luck to you, maybe we'll meet your feeder clan :D.

Your clan mates/friends and you are different. Your friends are happy to get a 2 star "credit". The do study their stuff, but do not do further in-depth research/study for more knowledge at the library. It could be they are happy to pass their exam and that's it. They spend X amount of hours, and believe that's enough.

You on the other hand has done further, and aimed for 3 star "distinction". You spend 2X or 3X of the time they spend.

So, obviously if you want to achieve more or be in the same ivy league, you need to move out from this average college/uni and aim for better ones such as Cambridge/Oxford/MIT/Yale/etc.

If you opt to stay there, you'll be frustrated and turn into just an average joe/jane like them.

Yep just keep doing the 3 stars, hopefully it will catch on. Another thing you can do, is simply reward those who get 3 stars with "great job" and those who get 2 stars with "unlucky". That soon sets a mentality that although you arent having a go at the two star attackers, it gives a feeling overall that 2 stars isnt very good.
