GoWiPe is not a 3 star attack

I'm a max th8, and I am tired of my clanmates using gowipe in wars. Yes, I understand that it is an easy attack to use and most of the time they get 2 stars and occasionally a 3 star, but every time I suggest they try something like back end loons or hogs to get the 3 star they say they aren't comfortable enough with those troops to use them, and proceed to get a two star. Its frustrating that they won't try something else because they are afraid to fail. I failed plenty when I started using hogs but now I'm getting 6 stars every war. I don't say this to brag only to say that you have to fail to get better. They do use dragons sometimes but only on bases without max air defenses.

I don't know how to go about telling them they need to try a different attack, they are happy getting two stars on every base but I don't think that should be the case. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how I should bring this up. Right now I'm using hogs every attack and hoping that seeing me get 3 stars will get them to try them, no success as of yet. Looking forward to hearing what you all have to say. Most of my clanmates are th8 btw, don't know if that info helps.

Tell them to practise outside of wars. You do a few practise hog attacks outside of war and then share the successful attacks in chat. Even share the failed attacks and explain why it is a fail.

Get a new clan?

Sounds like you have outgrown the clan and need to move on to bigger and better things. It's not your place to try and change the way a clan attacks in war and you should only be concerned with how you enjoy playing the game.

But.. it is a two star attack and any th8 who uses it, is a fool. It's awful at th8 and there are very easy three star attacks at that th. Gowipe is for bases you know you can't three star and there is no th8 base that another th8 can't three star.

This clan has a lot of my friends in it and I see them regularly, I'd rather address the problem than abandon them. I'll post some non-war replays, and I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to just come out and say, "Hey stop using gowipe". Now if they stop playing clash, which I don't see happening, I'll find another clan. Until then I'd like to ask how imposing clan attack restrictions in clans worked out, do I just need to tell my fellow co-leaders that we need to ban gowipe?

I'm in the same boat as OP. Most of my clan actually thinks that gowipe is the most powerful attack by far, at any TH level as soon as you get the troops to do it. They are actually far more impressed with a 56 percent gowipe 2 star then they are a 98 percent 1 star hog or lavaloon. They dont seem to realize the fact that the hog/lava attack was a damn near perfect 3 star where the gowipe was a lazy 2 star. It's pretty frustrating. I actually get flak for trying to use 3 star attacks because i fail sometimes, even though my overall war stars are far above the gowipe guys.

There was a base a couple wars ago, that was HEAVILY anti hog and dragon, and just begged for a gowipe. I'm talking like 2 walls to get through to 3 star it. So i did what any reasonable person would do, and gowiped that sucker. Well my clan took that as proof that i was wrong and gowipe is the best strategy. Facepalm

GoWiPe is capable of 3 stars, especially with good usage of Jump spells.

Players like GoWiPe as while it may not be as successful at getting 3 stars, it has a far better chance to get 2.

Best to be in a clan which has a balance of players who try different things, but I believe a few good GoWiPe attackers is really important. But yeah, if everyone is doing it you will probably have a hard time winning wars against good clans.

You are better off sharing websites with your clan mates where someone actually goes indepth on how to 3 star a base and explains the reasoning and ins and outs of the strategy.

Usually when you try to teach friends or family anything and you are on the same sort of level, there will be that stigma that everyone is equal so they are less likely to listen to you. I know , I have been down that road before, I have tried sharing numerous replays with my clan and tried to talk them through how to perform an attack.

But it seems that when I shared onehive's website, they listened to Jake more than they listened to me. I guess having a youtube channel and lots of subscribers tends to make people listen or pay more attention.

I've never heard of him but a quick search on youtube and I found his elite eight series, I feel like this could work. Thanks for the heads up, now I just hope they watch the videos :D.
