I am a co-leader of my friends clan and we are having lots of trouble in clan wars. I know more about clash of clans than him and I am a lot more active than him. He also doesn't kick many people when they don't attack and it feels like my clan doesn't care about war. Tips on winning wars? I don't want to move clans because it is my friends. So really what I need is tips for us to start winning wars.
Stress the importance of missing war attacks. Get your friend to kick out people who don't attack. You need people who care about war if you are going to be a war clan.Quote:

If you want to get serious, start taking notes. Write down who did well, who didn't do so well, and who didn't participate.
You have several forms of punishment for poor performance - make use of them!
- Forced opt-out for X amount of wars
- Demotion
- Kick
kick the people who dont want to listen. otherwise, leave this clan, and join one that has these rules, and that everybody follows
Opt out is the greatest gift to leaders that don't necessarily want to kick members / friends for not being active all the time.Quote:

Members that blatantly dont listen though sometimes just need to be kicked.

If you don't feel like booting people because you don't want your numbers to drop too low then just stop doing wars until people are ready to do them. You may not "want" to leave the clan for a better one but if you want to win clan wars and your members aren't willing to do what's necessary then that may be your only option.
As Badfish mentioned, forced opt-out for new comers is the biggest rule you need to enforce. We also require new comer to share a war equivalent attack before we'll consider bringing them into a war.
War is no longer automatic inclusion for new comers in most serious clans these days.
If you miss your both attacks, unless you are a long term member and had a valid IRL excuse, it's an automatic kick. For those that are long term members, we'll sit you out at least one war until you balance out your schedule. If you miss both again, you're gone. If you miss one attack two wars in a row, you're benched. If we see a long term pattern, you're gone.
Remember, just because there's 40 members doesn't mean you always have to do a 40 v 40.
Our clan had to have a "come to Jesus" moment about the future of us in war. Since setting these guidelines, we've been winning with far more consistency and now have a solid core group of warriors.
No surrender. No exceptions. Clash on.
