So I have come to the point in Th8 where I am nearly max. Most of my walls are level 7 and I am contemplating if I should farm for full skull walls or not. I am not sure if i should just upgrade or not, and is it worth it so have all builders and just upgrading walls non stop. Looking for a few points of view to guide me in the right direction.

I disagree. If you really have everything else max, you will be wasting a lot of elixir by grinding walls. Go up to TH9 and you can use the elixir to upgrade the skull walls.
Personally, I would go ahead and move up--assuming your King is L10, all elixir upgrades done in lab, all building max.
The drawback of upgrading is that you can no longer loot TH7 because of loot penalty, and now TH10s can loot you. But if you commit to finishing skulls before using gold to buy new defenses, and use your elixir to upgrade offense (camps, lab, spell factory, troop levels), with DE going to Queen, you can come out alright. Looting will be tougher at first, but never keeping over 500k gold will help keep the target off your back. Once your new offense comes online, you will be able to attack as a TH9, and your walls will be done to help defend when the upgrades get expensive and you need to save large amounts of loot.
Yes I would grind the walls if I were you. I am currently grinding skull walls myself. Im pretty sure 2 wall levels become avalible for you to upgrade to at th9 so that means you will have 3 wall levels to grind through instead of 2 levels. I've seen people say it before and now I agree with it and I'll tell you it, if you don't max your walls out for th8 now then you won't do them later. Also many people have said they have no regrets about maxing their walls out before moving up. Also most of your walls are level 7? You defenitely need at the very least, all your walls at level 7. It's highly likely that you will be a extreamaly juicy target for other town hall 9's if you plan on storing and saving up loot. Even with all level 7 walls probably. It's very likely you won't regret maxing your walls now so you can start on level 9 walls later at th9.Quote:

Grind those walls, I did mine on TH8...and boy, I'm glad I did! As a TH9 you will face strong attacks from TH9 and 10's. Those skulls help out a lot in stopping Lvl6-7 Giants. Lvl 7 walls get smashed by the giants, I raided a lot of TH9's with lvl7 walls, and they don't stand a chance.Quote:

Grind walls unless you're going as an 8.5 then you should get 75% skulls
2 reasons why you want to move up:
1) You're wasting elixir. You're suffering from 50% loot penalty due to being unable to loot elixir. If you move up, I dare say you'll be farming as fast or faster gold, while having a use in elixir.
2) Wall levels actually do not matter when I consider a target, but loot availability is a huge factor. Even the choice, which would you hit? A TH8 with maxed skulls and defenses, but showing 150k/300k/2k loot; or a TH9 with lvl 7 walls, TH7 defenses but 40k/30k/1k loot? 99/100 people would hit the TH8. As a TH9, you will spend all your elixir on offensive buildings and troops, DE on queen and gold on skulls, who in the right mind would touch you?

For others it's all about how comfortable they feel. If within their current trophy range they are able to defense well then jumping to next TH should be ok.
